Reviews of Joh Bailey Salon - GPO
anak says: The first place I ever got a haircut where I didn't want to cry afterwards!
Go here if you want to get a technically perfect haircut, exactly what you ask for (not shorter, brighter or random than you ask for!), and a good cup of coffee.
The decor is very modern and clean, and the staff are very professional. My advice would be book ahead of time since they are quite busy.
You certainly pay on the higher end for these cuts but they have definately imported the best UK hairdressers!

About Joh Bailey Salon - GPO
Joh Bailey is one of Australia’s foremost hair talents with a career spanning twenty years. His ability to create a signature look, his high personal profile and the business success of his salons have put his brand name at the forefront of his industry.
Part of his appeal to a wider audience is via his powerful and influential clientele, including Elle Macpherson, Linda Evangelista, Olivia Newton John, Kerri-Anne Kennerly, Kylie Minogue, Judy Davis and Jill Wran. One of the highlights of Bailey's career was his work with the late Diana, Princess of Wales, during her 1997 visit to Australia for which he received worldwide recognition.
His work has appeared on the covers of a number of important publications such as Vogue Australia, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, Marie Claire and The Australian Women's Weekly. Together with his team of stylists, Joh has worked on ready-to-wear shows and fashion presentations for clients such as Mercedes Australian Fashion Week, Giorgio Armani, Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Escada.
Joh was named the official hair stylist for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000. Enhancing his already high-profile he has been contracted as the expert spokesperson for Sunsilk, endorsing the company's hair products in a nationally-aired television campaign. In 2004 Joh was awarded the first every Master Hairdressers Award by the AHJ.
The first Joh Bailey salon opened in Double Bay in 1985. Joh recently opened 20 Joh Bailey at Myer Salons in Myer stores across Australia.
