firstyearout says: I have been going to Toni & Guy for almost a year now every 5 weeks) and I wouldn't go anywhere else. They have recently moved premises and are now above Berkelouw Books on Norton Street. Richard is my stylist and he is fantastic. My hair has never looked better and the way he cuts it makes it so easy to look after. Their colourist, Natalie, is also amazing. My only wish is that the head massages were longer - they are so good!

Jackie says: I can not fault the establishment, the moment i went in i was in another place, a place were i was special and i was treated the way you would expect to be treaded when your expecting to pay for a service. these days its not how much it costs but if you liked the service and the way you are treaded. I booked in on a saturday after i forgot to book at my old salon and never looked back, this salon is the ants pants of modern fashion cuts and colour, especially those girls Kathy and Victoria even if you don't know how to explain what you want they spend the time with you and boy does it show, i feel like a million bucks!! i do not know how i and so many others go to these others back yard jobs, i suppose what you don't know won't affect you, but i must stress "YOU GOTTA GO

aboutme says: Yeah so sorry, dont know what all the fuss is about, I think they are way over rated, the challenge was when I went home to do my hair, and I couldn't manage it at all also never received massage at basin, colour took way to long, ( 3 hours for semi and few foils ) and no way value for money. I must have gone on a really bad day.

anna says: Well, my colourist was Victoria and she did a terrible job, messing my hair so badly that I had to re do the whole process, the manager is an arrogant incompetent person (Andrew is the name) whose customers skills are so poor that he has no idea of how to deal with the angry unhappy customer that instead of waiting for steam to come out and all he could say was: "Why are you unhappy???" Dah.

I was waitng for 40 minutes for the colourist girl to come back to re-do the damage. Apparently they call it "shortly". Well I wish next time they order their coffee or meal somewhere they will wait shortly for 40 meenutes. And for the staggering price of $240. They don't know how to treat the customer properly. They are to be employed good McDonald's equivalent not where you charged the client top dollars. Never ever will I set my foot in any of their shops.

It is a pity if don't publish this review so people will need to be aware that they might get the service is mush below their expectations for almost the double of what you paid the guy next door. And by the way I am cooled off.

anna says: I had a very bad experience with the establishement. It was such a disappointment. First the girl who did the colour (Victoria) infomred me that the whole procedure (consultation, colour, toner and cut) will const me $240, then she went on with the job but after my hair was finally washed and tried it turned out that insted of blond streakds I ended up having brown-orange once. Then she asked me why I am so upset and what would I like to do now. As you can guess I wanted her to fix it. She said she would be with me shortly and disappeared for 35 minutes withoug even offering any appologies. After being ingnored for half an hour, I got up and went to the counter and said that I am leaving. Here comes the manager (Andrew) who supposedly have excellent customer skills and experience in such matters and is able to resolve the problem, but instead all he could say was "Why are you so angry"? which made me even more upset as you can imagine . So I said let me count the ways: first the girl messed up my hair, second I was left ingnored for good half hour and it's been two hours and will probably take two more to fix it upand all he could master in reply was "Why are you so angry?" I just turned and left. The next morning I received phone call from another woman of the salon but unfortunately as unskilled in customer service as the guy before her. All she could say was that in her 24 years of experience she never had a client who left and didn't pay and all I could say to her was in all my years of visiting hairdressing salons I have never ever been so disappointed.

I understand that you will not publish my review which is a great pity because people should be aware that you will don't get what you arepaying for in terms of service or the quality of the job.
