Just Car Insurance

Being over 25 makes it easy to insure my car with most insurers but it's the base premium and extra premium for performance modifications that is the killer. The best quote I got for my driving history (one suspension which happened just over 3yrs ago) was around $2,500 from Just Car's parent company, AAMI with a big (flexi) excess. Just Car was around $1,750, admittedely with a bigger (flexi) excess, but my opinion is there's no point paying a premium when you can pay a higher excess only when you have to make a claim.

Anyway, so I was happy with Just Car for coming to the party with a decent premium, and in October my suspension for speeding came off my record as far as the insurance companies see it (3yrs), and Just Car were great and gave me a pro-rata refund despite my policy running out in January! It was over $100 too, and given most people only pay like $500-750 for comprehensive insurance, that's a pretty good deal!

So the moral of the story is.. don't get done for speeding and donate $2,550 to the State Government in fines and pay a few hundred a year in insurance indirectly through higher premiums - or if you do, at least go Just Car because they're reasonably priced for people who own high performance cars.

Just Car are by far the best insurance company for younger drivers who want comprehensive insurance for their high performance car. I've been with them for five years and they've always provided me with a much lower quote than any other insurer.
Also, their claims processing is second-to-none with outstanding service and support if you happen to be involved in an accident.
