The sNDA for Sacituzumab Tirumotecan (sac-TMT) in Combination with Pembrolizumab as First‑Line Treatment for PD-L1-positive NSCLC Accepted for Review by NMPA

0

CHENGDU, China, May 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Sichuan Kelun-Biotech Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (“Kelun-Biotech” or the “Company”) announced that the sNDA (the “Application”) for the Company’s TROP2 ADC sacituzumab tirumotecan (sac-TMT, also known as SKB264/MK-2870) (佳泰莱®) was accepted for review by the Center for Drug Evaluation (CDE) of the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) of China. The application is for sac-TMT in combination with MSD’s[1] anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody pembrolizumab (KEYTRUDA®[2]) as first‑line treatment for adult patients with locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who have PD-L1 tumor proportion score (TPS) ≥1% and are EGFR-negative and ALK-negative. This acceptance is based on the positive results from the OptiTROP-Lung05 registrational Phase III study, and the application is the fifth indication application for sac-TMT that has been accepted by the NMPA.

The OptiTROP-Lung05 is a randomized, open-label, multicenter, Phase III clinical study that evaluates the efficacy and safety profile of sac-TMT in combination with pembrolizumab versus pembrolizumab monotherapy as first-line treatment for PD-L1-positive locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC. At a pre-specified interim analysis, the study has met its primary endpoint of progression-free survival (PFS) and demonstrated a statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvement as concluded by the Independent Data Monitoring Committee (IDMC). A positive trend in overall survival (OS) was also observed. Notably, the OptiTROP-Lung05 study is the first Phase III study of an immunotherapy and ADC combination to meet its primary endpoint in first-line NSCLC treatment. The study has been selected for an oral presentation at the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting (Abstract number #8506, Lung Cancer –Non-Small Cell Metastatic).

Previously, sac-TMT in combination with intravenous and subcutaneous pembrolizumab for the first-line treatment of patients with locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC who have PD-L1 TPS≥1% and are EGFR-negative and ALK-negative was granted Breakthrough Therapy Designation (BTD) by the NMPA. On April 9, 2026, the CDE’s official website announced that the Application has entered the priority review and approval process. This marks the fifth sac-TMT indication to enter the CDE’s priority review and approval process. Through this process, the review time will be significantly shortened, potentially expediting its approval pathways.

Dr. Michael Ge, CEO of Kelun-Biotech said, “We are delighted to see the acceptance of the fifth indication application for sac-TMT. Compared to immunotherapy alone, the ADC combination with KEYTRUDA® as first-line treatment for PD-L1-positive NSCLC has achieved not only positive results in PFS, but also a trend toward benefit in OS. This achievement holds significant importance for improving current treatment regimens for lung cancer. We will continue to collaborate with our partners to advance the clinical development and commercialization of sac-TMT, to help more patients with lung cancer and enhance their survival outcomes.”

About sac-TMT

Sac-TMT, a core product of the Company, is a novel human TROP2 ADC in which the Company has proprietary intellectual property rights, targeting advanced solid tumors such as NSCLC, breast cancer (BC), gastric cancer (GC), gynecological tumors and genitourinary tumors, among others. Sac-TMT is developed with a unique, bifunctional linker that maximizes payload delivery to tumor cells both through its irreversible connection with the anti-TROP2 monoclonal antibody sacituzumab and its pH-sensitive cleavage from a belotecan-derivative topoisomerase I inhibitor payload in the lysosome, with a drug-to-antibody-ratio (DAR) of 7.4. Sac-TMT specifically recognizes TROP2 on the surface of tumor cells by recombinant anti-TROP2 humanized monoclonal antibodies, which is then endocytosed by tumor cells and releases the payload KL610023 intracellularly. KL610023, as a topoisomerase I inhibitor, induces DNA damage to tumor cells, which in turn leads to cell-cycle arrest and apoptosis. In addition, it also releases KL610023 in the tumor microenvironment. Given that KL610023 is membrane permeable, it can enable a bystander effect, or in other words kill adjacent tumor cells.

In May 2022, the Company licensed the exclusive rights to MSD (the tradename of Merck & Co., Inc, Rahway, NJ, USA) to develop, use, manufacture and commercialize sac-TMT in all territories outside of Greater China (which includes Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan).

To date, four indications for sac-TMT have been approved and marketed in China for: 1) unresectable locally advanced or metastatic TNBC who have received at least two prior systemic therapies (at least one of them for advanced or metastatic setting); 2) EGFR mutant-positive locally advanced or metastatic non-squamous NSCLC following progression on EGFR-TKI therapy and platinum-based chemotherapy; 3) EGFR mutant-positive locally advanced or metastatic non-squamous NSCLC who progressed after treatment with EGFR-TKI therapy; 4) unresectable or metastatic HR+/HER2- (IHC 0, IHC 1+ or IHC 2+/ISH-) BC who have received prior ET and at least one line of chemotherapy in advanced setting. The first two indications above have been included in China’s National Reimbursement Drug List (NRDL). This inclusion is expected to bring clinically meaningful benefits to a greater number of patients with BC and NSCLC. Additionally, sac-TMT has been granted six Breakthrough Therapy Designations (BTDs) by the NMPA.

Sac-TMT is the world’s first TROP2 ADC drug approved for marketing in lung cancer. A new indication application for sac-TMT in combination with pembrolizumab (KEYTRUDA®) as first‑line treatment for locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC who have PD-L1 TPS≥1% and are EGFR-negative and ALK-negative has been accepted for review by the NMPA, and has entered the priority review and approval process. As of today, Kelun-Biotech has initiated 9 registrational clinical studies in China. MSD has initiated 17 ongoing global Phase III clinical studies of sac-TMT as a monotherapy or in combination with pembrolizumab or other anti-cancer agents for several types of cancer. These studies are sponsored and led by MSD.

James Tedesco makes State of Origin statement as Roosters make it six straight

0

James Tedesco has helped the Sydney Roosters survive a scare, scoring two tries to topple Gold Coast 28-12 and give his side a sixth straight NRL win.

In what was perhaps the most laboured performance of their unbeaten run, Trent Robinson’s side were led to victory at Polytec Stadium in Gosford on Friday night by another vintage display from Tedesco.

The fullback missed out on State of Origin selection last year but did every bit to showcase to NSW coach Laurie Daley why he deserves to wear the Blues No.1 jersey ahead of Penrith’s Dylan Edwards on May 27.

Know the news with the 7NEWS app: Download today Arrow

Tedesco scored a try in each half, set up Rob Toia for the Roosters’ opening four-pointer and chalked up 227 metres with the ball in hand.

The Tricolours captain was faultless at the back as Robinson’s men overcame a sluggish start to inflict a third-straight defeat on Josh Hannay’s Gold Coast (2-7) side.

After Victor Radley was placed on report for a high shot on AJ Brimson, Chris Randall rampaged past Sam Walker to put the Titans on the board.

Up until the half hour mark Hannay’s side held their gloves up, but when prop Mo Fotuaika was penalised for a hip-drop tackle the Roosters sparked into life.

Centre Toia crashed over on the right edge — surviving a lengthy bunker review — to put them on the board.

Winger Daniel Tupou then batted a ball back for Tedesco to score and make it 10-6 in the hosts’ favour at halftime.

Some daring plays from fullback Keano Kini kept Gold Coast in the game but back-rower Siua Wong blasted through the middle to swing things in the Roosters’ favour.

Off the back of Wong’s run, Toia powered over for his second and the Titans’ issues compounded when Brimson was put through a hole by rookie halfback Zane Harrison but dropped the ball cold.

Tupou then added the 191st try of his NRL career — leapfrogging Billy Slater into outright third in the standings for most tries in premiership history.

The Tonga winger jumped over Gold Coast debutant Jensen Taumoepeau to claim and then score off a Walker bomb.

Walker’s errant goalkicking — he kicked two from six conversion attempts — only kept the visitors within touching distance.

Walker’s inaccuracy didn’t matter with Hugo Savala diving on a Reece Robson grubberkick and Tedesco adding a second at the death.

Kini crossed late for a consolation Titans try.

Disney adults trend continues to grow as Kylie Kelce, Brenda Song chime in on the topic

0

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Kylie Kelce may soon become one of those Disney adults who visit the parks without her kids.

On a recent episode of “Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce,” the podcast host and wife of former NFL star Jason Kelce, said she’s starting to believe that Disney World and Disneyland are more for adults than children.

Brenda Song, star of the hit Netflix show “Running Point,” joined the pod on Thursday, April 30, as the two women discussed trips to the resorts.

DISNEYLAND MAY SCRAP LONGSTANDING PARK RULE THAT FRUSTRATED VISITORS

“I have realized that it is not for the kids, it’s for us,” Kylie Kelce wife said. “And as adults, we can appreciate the magic and also the food and beverage — and also, our legs can do it. It’s a lot.”

Song, who is engaged to Macaulay Culkin, is a former Disney star. She said she’d love to be Kylie Kelce’s personal guide at the parks.

She is best known for her Disney Channel roles, including London Tipton on “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.”

“Please — I’m a Disney adult,” Song said. “That’s my dream.”

“Perfect because I refuse to go there unless I have a Disney adult at my beck and call,” Kylie Kelce said, adding that she’s not a Disney adult and relies on experienced park-goers to help navigate the experience.

The Kelces have four daughters ranging in age from 6 years old to 13 months, and they’ve visited Disney World many times, Kelce said.

They recently took the crew in November 2025 before the former football star’s 38th birthday.

Song and Culkin have two boys together.

“As an adult, I feel like me and Mac love Disneyland more than our children do,” Song said.

“Just as a kid, growing up, it was always there and, having worked on Disney Channel in my teenage years, we would just go after work. They always had events there,” Song told Kylie Kelce on the podcast.

“We went so often, it was kinda like the coolest backyard in the world,” she added. “So it feels like home. But Disney World, to me, is truly like the most magical place.”

Song said a favorite of hers is the “Minnie Van” service, a private, on-demand ride service at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, featuring red-and-white polka-dotted SUVs.

“Disney is probably the most iconic brand in entertainment.”

“Disney Parks are for the young and the young at heart — for anyone who believes happiness and fun don’t have an age limit,” a Disney spokesperson told Fox News Digital.

Reactions to so-called Disney adults have been mixed online, with some embracing the trend and others questioning it.

Brisbane Lions youngster Koby Evans apologises after accepting hefty ban for homophobic slur

0

Brisbane Lions youngster Koby Evans has apologised for “unacceptable” language after accepting a four-match ban for a homophobic slur.

7NEWS chief AFL reporter Mitch Cleary revealed Evans was under investigation for a slur stemming from the VFL match on the weekend.

The AFL concluded their investigation on Thursday with Evans receiving a four-match ban. The sanction was shorter than the standard five matches because he self reported and accepted responsibility.

Know the news with the 7NEWS app: Download today Arrow

The 18-year-old apologised multiple times in the aftermath of the incident, including on the field and after the game.

“My language was totally unacceptable, I’m disappointed in myself, and apologise to the LGBTQI+ community and our club,” Evans said in a statement on Thursday.

“I knew as soon as it came out of my mouth, that I’d made a bad mistake and this language is unacceptable on or off the field.”

Brisbane CEO Sam Graham said the club was disappointed, but will continue to support the youngster.

“Our club is committed to being an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and able to belong, including players, staff, members and fans,” he said.

“Koby has addressed his teammates and through this situation has been upfront with the club and AFL about this matter.

“We recognise that Koby is at the beginning of his career and we will work with him to provide the necessary support and education, to ensure he understands the impact words can have on people”

During the period of suspension, Evans will undertake LGBTQI+ inclusion education, delivered by subject matter experts.

“Everyone understands that homophobia and homophobic language has absolutely no place in our game at any level or in the wider community,” AFL chief operating officer Tom Harley said.

“Our players have a very clear understanding of what is acceptable on the football field and in society.

“Koby self-reported this incident and has taken ownership of his mistake both privately and publicly. “It is extremely disappointing to be dealing with another incident of this nature.”

Evans was drafted with pick 38 in last year’s AFL draft and has played five VFL matches with the Lions.

This latest investigation comes just two weeks after the completion of St Kilda forward Lance Collard’s own homophobic slur saga.

Collard was given a nine-match sanction (two games suspended) by an AFL disciplinary tribunal.

After appealing the outcome, the Saints had Collard’s ban reduced to a four-match sanction (two games suspended) by the AFL Appeals Board.

It was Collard’s second homophobic slur ban in the space of three seasons. He was given a six-match ban in 2024.

Since the start of 2024, Port Adelaide’s Jeremy Finlayson (three matches), Gold Coast’s Wil Powell (five matches), West Coast’s Jack Graham (four matches), Sydney’s Riak Andrews (five matches) and Adelaide’s Izak Rankine (four matches) have also received bans for homophobic slurs.

Artprice News: The Lyon Biennale 2026 redefines the driving forces of international contemporary art

0

PARIS, May 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — In autumn 2026, in the wake of the Venice Biennale, the Lyon Biennale of Contemporary Art establishes itself as one of the major events on the international artistic calendar.

18th Lyon Biennale Contemporary Art - 2026
18th Lyon Biennale Contemporary Art – 2026

As France’s leading contemporary art event, each edition brings together nearly 300,000 visitors and generates more than 2.7 million encounters with artworks in public space, affirming a unique model in which artistic production, dissemination, territorial engagement and international reach converge on a large scale.

More than an exhibition, the Lyon Biennale now constitutes an international platform of influence, situated at the intersection of artistic scenes, institutions, collectors, foundations, professionals and global economic dynamics.

After Venice, Lyon: a new centre of gravity for the global art scene

The 18th Lyon Biennale of Contemporary Art will take place at the heart of autumn 2026, at a strategic moment within the international contemporary art calendar. It extends, shifts and reactivates the major artistic conversations initiated in Venice, grounding them within a singular territory: Lyon, a city of passages, exchanges and transformations.

Within this urban, historical and economic geography, the Biennale transforms Lyon into a full-scale space for experimentation, where artworks engage in dialogue with heritage, industrial, museum and public sites.

Catherine Nichols: an international curatorial voice on the rise

The 18th edition is entrusted to Catherine Nichols, a Berlin-based curator, writer and art historian. She was recently appointed Artistic Director of Manifesta, within the framework of a new co-directorship model that will come into effect from October 2026 onward.

With Passer d’un rêve à l’autre, Catherine Nichols develops an ambitious project centred on the notion of “poetic economy,” inspired by Robert Filliou. Here, the economy is not approached merely as a financial system: it becomes a sensitive infrastructure composed of relationships, flows, narratives, visible and invisible labour, and material as well as immaterial values.

Rooted in Lyon’s history — a city shaped by commerce, circulation, silk production, industry and confluences — this reflection takes on both a local and profoundly global dimension.

An expanded artistic cartography: new scenes, new narratives

Bringing together more than 70 international artists, this edition is distinguished by a strong openness toward artistic scenes still insufficiently represented in Europe, particularly from Australia and New Zealand, and spanning more than thirty nationalities. These territories engage in dialogue with the French and European scenes within a framework that brings together major figures, established artists and emerging voices.

The Biennale thus constructs an expanded artistic cartography in which questions of value, care, heritage, production and transformation run across practices, generations and geographies.

An international platform for production and influence

The Lyon Biennale is simultaneously a site for the production of new works, an international professional hub and a space for reflection on contemporary transformations. It is embedded within a global network, notably through the International Biennial Association, and each edition welcomes artists, curators, institutions, foundations, partners and art market actors.

Through its artistic projects, professional programmes, international collaborations, mediation initiatives and participatory projects, the Lyon Biennale asserts a singular model: a leading event open to the widest possible audience and fully engaged with the issues of its time.

About the Lyon Biennale

For more than forty years, the Lyon Biennale has organised two major events on the cultural scene in France and internationally: the Biennale of Contemporary Art and the Dance Biennale.

As the institution responsible for the conception, programming and implementation of these two events, the Lyon Biennale is today recognised as one of the major international events dedicated to contemporary creation. It enjoys strong recognition among professionals, the press and audiences alike.

Its commitment is based on four core missions: an ethical mission, through the development of a sensitive relationship to the world via visual arts and dance; a social mission, through openness to all audiences and the creation of social bonds; an economic mission, through its contribution to the visibility and attractiveness of the territory; and a CSR mission, through a socially responsible approach toward all its stakeholders.

Creativity, excellence, rigour, solidarity, social diversity and inclusivity lie at the heart of the Lyon Biennale project.

The 2026 Lyon Biennale embodies a unique model and has established itself as a must-attend event on the international scene. Twenty-six years after their first collaboration, Artprice by Artmarket and La Demeure du Chaos are partnering with the 18th Lyon Biennale.

A must-attend event on the international Art calendar, the Lyon Biennale has established itself, following in Venice’s footsteps, as much more than an exhibition: a platform of influence where artists, institutions, collectors, foundations, and key players in the global Art Market converge.

Twenty-six years after “Partage d’Exotisme”- the legendary 2000 Biennial curated by Jean-Hubert Martin, which served as a follow-up to his famous 1989 exhibition “Les Magiciens de la Terre” at the Centre Georges Pompidou and caused a sensation in the West. This Biennial brought together Artprice by Artmarket and La Demeure du Chaos as patrons for the first time. In 2026, they will once again join the Lyon Contemporary Art Biennial as committed partners for its 18th edition.

Thierry Ehrmann, founder of Artprice, president of Artmarket, and visual artist for over four decades, creator of La Demeure du Chaos – officially recognized on March 20, 2025 as a “Total Work of Art” by Minister of Culture Rachida Dati, applauds the significance of this Biennale of Contemporary Art, which engages with the geographical and economic characteristics of the city of Lyon.

It is in this spirit that the two entities are joining forces to support the work of Selma Selman, an artist who employs performance, painting, photography, and video to embody the struggles of her community, questioning the value of labor, objects, and bodies. She extracts the hidden poetry from industrial materials – and reminds us that beauty, too, is born of Chaos.
