Developed by APPL Group and operated by Mandala Hotels & Resorts, Radisson Perth will form a key part of SCQ, a major mixed-use development designed as a connected village that brings together residential, commercial, and lifestyle elements in one integrated destination.

The hotel will feature 120 rooms and studios, complemented by a rooftop bar and restaurant, meeting spaces, a swimming pool, and a strong focus on guest engagement through art and curated experiences. Its location in West Perth offers strong connectivity to the CBD, key commercial hubs, and major transport links, supporting balanced corporate and leisure demand throughout the year.

“We’re delighted to bring the Radisson brand to this exciting precinct,” said Danilo Curcuruto, Director of Development, Australasia, Radisson Hotel Group. “Radisson Perth is a strong addition to our growing presence in Australia and reflects our focus on partnering with high-quality developments in key urban locations. We are particularly pleased to mark our entry into Western Australia with such a prominent project, in partnership with APPL Group, whose vision and commitment to delivering a standout precinct have been instrumental in bringing this opportunity to life.”

Commenting on the signing, Michelle Prater, Director, APPL Group, said:
“SCQ has been designed as a modern connected village, and the inclusion of Radisson Perth is a key component in bringing that vision to life. We were seeking a brand that stands apart in the market, with a strong identity and the ability to enhance the overall positioning of the village, and Radisson was a natural fit.”

Located on the western fringe of Perth’s CBD, the hotel benefits from proximity to key office precincts, healthcare, and education institutions, as well as retail and dining hubs. The property is well connected to Perth Airport and major transport infrastructure, supporting accessibility for both domestic and international travelers.

Perth continues to strengthen its position as a key gateway to Western Australia, supported by a diverse economy, strong corporate base, and growing tourism appeal. Ongoing infrastructure investment and urban renewal projects, including developments across West Perth and the CBD, are expected to drive sustained demand for well-positioned hotel assets.

Gemma McCourt, Chief Operating Officer at Mandala Hotels & Resorts, added:
“Radisson Perth is an important milestone in Mandala’s national growth strategy and a clear example of the contemporary, experienceled hotels we are committed to operating across Australia. SCQ is reshaping West Perth, and this hotel will play a defining role in creating a connected, designforward precinct that appeals to both corporate and leisure travelers. Its location, product mix, and brand alignment create strong fundamentals for longterm performance. We’re pleased to partner with Radisson Hotel Group and APPL Group to deliver a hotel that elevates the precinct, strengthens the market, and reflects the confidently different approach Mandala is known for.”

Radisson is an upscale brand that combines contemporary design with a focus on functionality, service, and comfort, catering to both business and leisure travelers. Frontier Airlines forecasts revenue boost from Spirit collapse

Frontier Airlines expects a revenue boost from Spirit Airlines’ collapse over the weekend, a shuttering that removed Spirit’s capacity from the market overnight.

“Drawing on the benefits realized from prior Spirit capacity adjustments, we believe their exit supports a [revenue per available seat mile] uplift of 3% to 5% going forward,” Frontier’s chief commercial officer, Bobby Schroeter, said on an earnings call Tuesday.

Just before Spirit ceased operations, marking the biggest U.S. airline collapse in a generation, the budget airline had 35% overlap with Frontier’s seats and 31% with JetBlue Airways‘ seats in the market, according to an analysis published Sunday by Raymond James analyst Savanthi Syth.

Spirit Airlines collapsed — here's what happens next

Frontier shares were up more than 6% in afternoon trading after it released first-quarter results, outpacing the broader market.

Frontier said it expects unit revenue to rise more than 20% in the second quarter, citing strong demand and less competition on its routes. It expects adjusted losses per share of between 45 cents and 60 cents.

Frontier was Spirit’s planned merger partner four years ago before JetBlue swooped in with an all-cash offer in a deal that was eventually blocked by a U.S. judge in 2024.

In Spirit’s final months, airlines had been adding flights on its routes or crafting expansion plans behind the scenes. JetBlue, for example, said it would add a host of service at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida, Spirit’s former home hub.

Underwater robotics expert reveals ‘shipwreck city’ hiding beneath major urban lake

0

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

An underwater robotics specialist is revealing a “shipwreck city” hiding beneath a lake in a major West Coast hub — and much of it remains a mystery.

Remotely operated vehicle (ROV) specialist Phil Parisi is working to verify and document nearly 100 “targets” in Lake Union, a central lake in Seattle, Washington.

The urban lake has served as a working waterway for over a century, supporting shipbuilding and vessel traffic in the Emerald City.

WISCONSIN RESEARCHERS STUNNED BY DISCOVERY OF LAKE MICHIGAN ‘GHOST SHIP’ LOST SINCE 1886 STORM

The expert told KING 5 that about half of those sites, which were previously mapped but not visually confirmed, are believed to be shipwrecks — and not all of them have been explored by divers.

To bridge that gap, Parisi uses ROVs to document targets identified in sonar surveys.

Phil Parisi, seen at right in the foreground, is using remotely operated vehicles to investigate underwater targets in Lake Union, aiming to confirm which sites are shipwrecks and better understand the lake’s maritime history. (shipwreckcity.org)

“We need to document what these wrecks look like today,” Parisi told KING 5.

He described deeper portions of the lake as a “ghost town,” where plant life drops off beyond about 25 feet.

ARCHAEOLOGISTS UNCOVER CENTURIES-OLD SHIPWRECK BENEATH HISTORIC CITY: ‘UNIQUE SOURCE OF KNOWLEDGE’

“There is a harsh lack of life,” Parisi said.

But what the lake lacks in marine life, he said, it makes up for in wreckage.

Nearly half of the mapped targets in Lake Union are believed to be shipwrecks, though many have not yet been visually confirmed or explored by divers. (shipwreckcity.org)

“It’s crazy that there’s so much down there,” he added, according to KING 5. “It’s shocking to me. I was stunned. Looking at these maps — it’s shipwreck city.”

Parisi told Fox News Digital that, while roughly 40 sites have already been documented, dozens more identified in sonar surveys have yet to be visually confirmed — work he is now taking on.

MAN FISHING WITH GRANDSON UNCOVERS MYSTERY WRECKAGE IN MUD FLATS, ARCHAEOLOGISTS INVESTIGATING

Parisi and his team use GPS to get close to targets, then rely on sonar to locate them in low-visibility waters.

“Flying blind through murky, low-visibility waters is difficult, so we rely on ROV-mounted sonars to ‘see’ and determine the target’s relative position,” he said.

“Many wrecks are tucked underneath, and some marina owners are reluctant to let us film beneath their docks.”

“Then, we descend to the bottom and fly toward the sonar signature until the target appears on the live ROV camera.”

Because of pollution in Lake Union, Parisi said his team relies on ROVs rather than scuba divers.

“It’s nice not having to worry about contaminants,” he said.

But they still face challenges, particularly with Seattle’s piers lining the lake.

Identifying details on submerged vessels are often obscured by biofouling, rust and environmental degradation, making documentation difficult. (shipwreckcity.org)

“Many wrecks are tucked underneath, and some marina owners are reluctant to let us film beneath their docks,” he said.

“Additionally, when we do arrive at a wreck, gathering identifying information can be extremely difficult. Biofouling, rust, poor public anchoring techniques and other environmental degradation often shed registration stickers, obscure painted hull names, and cause wrecks to collapse.”

Asked about describing the lake as a “shipwreck city,” Parisi said two things stand out about the underwater sites: the shallowness of Lake Union and the large number of “unknown” targets that remain.

“The lake is surprisingly shallow compared to other bodies of water in the Puget Sound, meaning lake goers are a stone’s throw from the sunken maritime history yet are often unaware,” said Parisi.

“Every place holds incredible landmarks and hidden treasures, yet we’re often distracted by the humdrum of life.”

“Secondly, documentation or footage is missing for over half of the nearly 100 targets in the lake, leaving a huge gap in our understanding of what’s down there.”

Parisi said the work isn’t a new discovery, but builds on earlier sonar surveys and dive records that mapped the sites.

He also stressed the importance of local exploration, saying he wants Americans “to be excited about what’s in their own backyard.”

Met Gala 2026 beauty looks you’ll be seeing everywhere this year

0

The Met Gala 2026 leaned into contradiction.

A theme built around “Costume Art” could have easily tipped into excess, but the beauty direction told a different story.

Skin was real, hair moved, and nails felt expressive rather than ornamental.

Know the news with the 7NEWS app: Download today Arrow

The result was a red carpet that looked less like a museum exhibit and more like a living, breathing mood board of modern glamour and moving art.

Below, the standout beauty moments, broken down by the brands and artists who quietly dictated the night.

Sabrina Carpenter

There was something almost subversive about Sabrina Carpenter’s nails. Against an Old Hollywood beauty look, nail artist Zola Ganzorigt delivered a black French tip that felt both classic and slightly rebellious. The precision of the tip, paired with the softness of her glam, struck a balance that defined the night.

The easiest way to recreate it is with OPI’s xPRESS/ONs in Business Casual, $27.95 from Myer. It’s a shortcut that feels almost too simple for something that looks this considered.

Hailey Bieber

Hailey Bieber opted for glowing skin, barely-there nails, and a shade that we’ve obsessed over for years. OPI’s Put It In Airplane Mode, $18.99 at Chemist Warehouse, delivered that soft, milky finish that reads expensive without trying.

Charlotte’s stars looked like magic on the Met’s famous steps.

Charlotte Tilbury

The red carpet became, quite literally, a masterclass in Charlotte Tilbury. Not in an overwhelming way, but in the sense that everywhere you looked, there was that unmistakable glow.

Venus Williams, Cher, Emily Blunt and more

From co-chair Venus Williams to Cher, Emily Blunt and Eileen Gu, the brand’s signature skin prep anchored the night. The reformulated Magic Cream created that plush, almost lit-from-within base, while Pillow Talk tones tied everything together without feeling repetitive.

Adrien Brody and Georgina Chapman

Even among the more tailored looks, there was a softness to the finish. Airbrush Flawless products sculpted without hard edges, and the setting spray locked it all in place without flattening the skin.

The launch moment

The real headline was the debut of the Exagger-Eyes Easy Eyeshadow Sticks. Creamy, self-priming and waterproof, they delivered dimension in seconds. On a night that often leans maximalist, this felt refreshingly efficient. Eyes were defined, but never overworked.

Connor Storrie’s Met debut came with reference points as Antinous, Mick Jagger and Apollo.

Connor Storrie

Connor Storrie’s Met debut came with a hairstyle that felt mythological and modern at once. Hairstylist Candice Birns described the reference points as Antinous, Mick Jagger and Apollo, which sounds chaotic but translated beautifully.

Using the Dyson Supersonic r, the look was built through texture rather than rigidity. Creams, oils and mousse created grit, while a rough dry gave volume that didn’t feel staged. The end result was an effortless, slightly undone curl that held its shape without looking set.

Color Wow

The biggest shift of the night was hair that didn’t look “done”.

Irina Shayk, Kim Kardashian, Gigi Hadid, Paloma Elsesser

Across the carpet, texture replaced structure. Tousled waves, lifted roots and soft movement dominated. It was glamour, but slightly dishevelled.

Color Wow’s toolkit explains how it was done. Raise the Root delivered that airy lift, while Style on Steroids added separation that felt editorial rather than messy. The Xtra Large Bombshell Volumizer available on Amazon Australia created body without stiffness, and the flexible hairspray ensured everything stayed touchable.

Margot Robbie

Margot Robbie offered a counterpoint to the undone trend with a sculptural, twisted updo that felt architectural. Created by Bryce Scarlett using Goldwell, the look mirrored her gown’s structure without feeling severe.

Air-Dry BB Cream smoothed the base, while Blow-Dry Spray added volume at the roots. The twist itself was carefully rolled and pinned into a vertical shape, then softened with Defining Wax through the fringe. It was controlled, but not rigid. Precise, but still human.

More Nails: Chillhouse, Essie, Manucurist

Tessa Thompson

Nail artist Mei Kawajiri delivered one of the boldest moments of the night. A cobalt blue shade, Chillhouse’s Cobalt Klein, echoed the vibrancy of Tessa Thompson’s Valentino look. It was graphic, deliberate and impossible to ignore.

Bad Bunny

Even the men leaned in. Bad Bunny’s manicure, built on essie nail care staples, focused on hydration and finish. Clean, glossy nails became part of the overall look rather than an afterthought.

Gigi Hadid

For Gigi, the mood shifted again. A pearlescent shade called Moon by Manucurist added a soft shimmer that felt playful without tipping into novelty. It was subtle, but deliberate.

We love a man with a bold look and Hudson Williams delivered with Chanel makeup.

Chanel

Hudson Williams

Hudson Williams delivered one of the more conceptual beauty moments of the night, built entirely around transformation. Using Chanel Beauty, the look moved from softness to something sharper and more controlled.

Skin was luminous but structured, thanks to Les Beiges foundation and strategic highlighting. Eyes carried the narrative, with layered liners and shadow palettes creating depth that felt almost sculptural. Hair, shaped with Dyson tools and Redken styling, fanned outward in a feathered silhouette that referenced a swan mid-transformation.

MERIT

Skin came first, texture stayed visible, and every product felt purposeful rather than performative. The result was beauty that looked effortless, but was anything but.

Misty Copeland

Makeup artist Mali Boykin created a look that centred warmth, depth and luminosity. Using MERIT exclusively, she prepped skin with Great Skin Priming Moisturizer before evening tone with The Uniform and The Minimalist in Amber.

Flush Balm in Lusitano and Day Glow in Citrine added a soft, believable radiance, while neutral Solo Shadows sculpted the eyes without heaviness. Lips were gently defined with Signature Lip Blush and Liner, keeping everything cohesive.

The effect was polished yet intimate. Skin still looked like skin, just richer and more refined.

Greta Gerwig leaned into a fresh makeup approach with Merit.

Greta Gerwig

For Greta Gerwig, makeup artist Sabrina Bedrani leaned into fresh, glowing skin with a subtle focus on the eyes to complement her Stella McCartney gown.

Great Skin Instant Glow Serum and Priming Moisturizer created a luminous base, followed by The Minimalist for sheer coverage. Flush Balm added a natural flush, while Solo Shadows in Glacé and Matchbook were softly smudged to elongate the eyes.

A diffused lip using Signature Lip and Liner kept the look understated, finished with a new MERIT mascara for a hint of definition.

MERIT’s message was clear. On a night built for spectacle, restraint can be the most powerful statement of all.

New Publication Demonstrates TLX250-Px (Zircaix®) Potential in Diagnosing Kidney Cancers Beyond ccRCC

0

MELBOURNE, Australia and INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., May 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Telix Pharmaceuticals Limited (ASX: TLX, NASDAQ: TLX, “Telix”) today announces the publication of a new independent analysis of Phase 3 ZIRCON trial data in European Urology[1], demonstrating that TLX250‑Px (Zircaix®[2], 89Zr-girentuximab) PET/CT[3] imaging may be highly predictive of renal malignancy across all subtypes, not limited to clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC).

Recognizing that carbonic anhydrase IX (CAIX) expression is also observed in other renal cancer subtypes[4], this subsequent analysis conducted by international investigators who participated in ZIRCON Phase 3 trial[5], evaluated centrally reviewed imaging and pathology data to explore whether tracer uptake in renal masses correlated with malignancy beyond ccRCC.

The analysis demonstrated that positive PET findings were highly predictive of malignancy overall, including in non-clear cell renal cell carcinoma (nccRCC), with a reported positive predictive value (PPV) of 98% (95% CI, 96–99), sensitivity of 82% (95% CI, 82–90), and specificity of 87% (95% CI, 81–93). These exploratory scientific findings suggest TLX250-Px has applications beyond the detection of ccRCC in primary renal masses and may have implications to management of nccRCC.

Aboubacar Kaba, MD, urologist at the University of California, Los Angeles and corresponding author, commented: “This analysis shows that when TLX250-Px PET/CT is positive, it is highly predictive of renal malignancy, including beyond ccRCC. Thus, the utility of this test may be important in distinguishing more hypoxic, and therefore, aggressive disease from indolent tumors with clear treatment implications. This may provide an additional tool to aid in risk stratifying or guiding patient and clinician decisions in the treatment of renal masses.”

Dr. David N. Cade, Group Chief Medical Officer at Telix, added: “Publication of these data in European Urology reflects the scientific strength of the ZIRCON trial and the robustness of its central imaging and pathology review. While ZIRCON was designed to address ccRCC, this analysis supports continued evaluation of TLX250-Px PET imaging across a broader spectrum of renal malignancies, with potential application in the management of patients with non-clear cell RCC. Furthermore, essentially all false-positives for ccRCC in the ZIRCON study have now been shown to be other malignant kidney cancer subtypes, reducing the risk of overtreatment and further supporting clinical adoption.”

The full paper is available at: https://www.europeanurology.com/article/S0302-2838(26)02037-3/fulltext.

These findings are based on exploratory analyses and were not the basis of Telix’s Biologics License Application (BLA) submission for TLX250-Px, which focuses exclusively on detection of ccRCC in primary renal masses.

About TLX250-Px

TLX250-Px is a PET imaging candidate under development for the diagnosis and characterization of ccRCC, and included in leading international guidelines for renal imaging[6]. It works by specifically binding to carbonic anhydrase IX (CAIX), a validated target protein expressed on >95% of ccRCC cells[7], to produce images with high tumor-to-background ratio and high intra- and inter-reader consistency.

Telix’s pivotal Phase 3 ZIRCON trial evaluating TLX250-Px in 300 patients, of whom 284 were evaluable, met all primary and secondary endpoints, including showing 86% sensitivity and 87% specificity and a 93% positive predictive value (PPV) for ccRCC across three independent radiology readers[8]. Telix believes this demonstrated the ability of TLX250-Px to reliably detect the clear cell phenotype and provide an accurate, non-invasive method for diagnosing and characterizing ccRCC.

ZIRCON-X, a noninterventional, prospective, post hoc study using imaging data from ZIRCON, found that almost half of all patients (48.6%) would have undergone a change in clinical management if imaged with TLX250-Px, compared with baseline standard-of-care (SOC) imaging, and that more than 20% could potentially have avoided an invasive biopsy[9].

The company has also scaled its local presence from a single representative to a dedicated team focused on business development, account management, and marketing. This expansion improves client service, ensuring timely assistance and project delivery across the region.

As one of Brazil’s most recognised racing figures, Barrichello plays a key role in bridging the company with the local market, supporting educational initiatives and engaging with partners.
