Foshan Fosun Chancheng Hospital Sets New Benchmark for Greater Bay Area Healthcare

FOSHAN, China, March 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — On March 28, Foshan Fosun Chancheng Hospital inaugurated the International Medical Center (FIMC), Foshan’s first provincial-level international medical pilot, supporting Fosun Health’s role in the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and Belt and Road development.

The ceremony brought together government officials, medical experts, global insurance representatives and international guests. FIMC was officially unveiled, with strategic agreements signed alongside an International Medical Development Roundtable Forum.

Guangchang Guo, Chairman of Fosun International, stated: “Fosun’s international medical strategy integrates China’s medical capabilities with global resources, allowing GBA residents to access world-class healthcare at home while attracting patients from around the world.”

The hospital has been developing international medical services since establishing an International Health Care Unit in 2019, upgraded in 2024. Over the past three years, it has served nearly 24,000 overseas patients from 124 countries and regions, with nearly 10,000 visits from Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, Taiwan region and foreign patients in 2025.

Spanning 20,000 square meters with 100 beds, FIMC integrates outpatient, inpatient, examination and rehabilitation services. It pioneers a “General Practice + Specialist” model, offering personalized healthcare solutions. The center also provides an end-to-end service including medical visa support, multilingual support, direct insurance settlement, cross-border remote follow-ups and global referral services. It features a multilingual team, bilingual medical records, prayer rooms, and customized catering to meet diverse cultural needs.

FIMC has established direct settlement partnerships with over 50 insurers worldwide, and has directly linked with Fosun Health Group overseas offices in Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Central Asia.

Foshan Fosun Chancheng Hospital is a Grade A tertiary general hospital, ranking first in China’s Top 100 Private Single Hospitals for eight consecutive years and holding two JCI certifications. It operates five national-level treatment centers and 27 key specialties. As a designated hospital for the Hong Kong and Macau Drug and Device Access Policy, it has approved 52 international innovative drugs and devices, serving over 1,600 patients. The hospital is equipped with the sixth-generation CyberKnife (one of only four in South China) and the Da Vinci Surgical System.

As a provincial international medical pilot, FIMC aims to build a replicable model for international healthcare services, rooted in Foshan, radiating across the GBA, and connecting global networks.

‘Hearts break’ as West Coast veteran Elliot Yeo suffers a groin injury in clash against Port Adelaide

0

West Coast veteran Elliot Yeo is staring down the barrel of more time on the sidelines after suffering a groin injury in Sunday’s thrilling win over Port Adelaide.

The tough midfielder was one of his side’s best in the first half with four crunching tackles and a goal, but played no further part after the long break.

Yeo cut a dejected figure at the back of the bench with the club confirming it was a groin injury.

“Your heart breaks for Elliot Yeo,” Kelli Underwood said on Fox Footy.

Former Port Adelaide coach Hinkley hoped it was precautionary.

“You’d love him to get a run at it for a good period of time,” Hinkley said

“Let’s hope for his sake it’s just precautionary and they are looking after him.”

The latest injury continues a nightmare run for the 32-year-old, who has a long history of groin injuries.

Yeo has managed just 59 over the past six seasons due to a series of different injuries.

He missed the entire 2025 campaign due to an ankle injury, but bounced back to feature in the club’s opening two matches this season.

And despite being on managed minutes, he had been among his side’s best in the season-opening loss to Gold Coast and breakthrough win over North Melbourne.

Yeo is contracted until the end of 2027.

Meanwhile, Port Adelaide also had their own injury issues with key defender Esava Ratugolea’s day ending early with a knee injury.

Ratugolea limped off early in the third quarter, briefly returned to the field, before coming off again and having ice applied to his right knee.

Despite losing Yeo and conceding the first four goals of the match, the Eagles fought back brilliantly to claim a thrilling two-point win and bank consecutive AFL wins for the first time in almost two years.

Andrew McQualter’s men overcame a 29-point deficit in the second quarter to prevail 13.14 (92) to 13.12 (90) on Sunday.

West Coast, who hadn’t won successive matches since rounds six and seven in 2024, were victors at Adelaide Oval for the first time since Round 6, 2022.

Jake Waterman’s scoring output — he booted 4.4 — included a 65m set shot in the last quarter, while Harley Reid (21 disposals) and Bo Allan kicked two majors each.

The Eagles’ No.1 draft pick Willem Duursma (20 possessions, one goal) and second-gamer Josh Lindsay (19 touches) impressed while veteran Tim Kelly (23 disposals) was influential.

Port attackers Mitch Georgiades and Jack Whitlock both booted three goals and Corey Durdin scored two.

But despite the ball-winning of acting captain Zak Butters (30 disposals), Kane Farrell (25) and Jase Burgoyne (21), the Power fell short.

New study reveals most stressed US states, and they aren’t where you’d expect

0

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Americans hoping to unwind on their next trip may want to think twice about where they’re headed.

A comparison of all 50 states using 40 indicators of stress — including work, money, family and health factors — found that densely populated states with major metro areas did not top the list, according to a new WalletHub study.

Instead, states across the South and southwest ranked among the most stressed overall.

Louisiana ranks as the most stressed state in the country for 2026, followed by Kentucky, New Mexico, West Virginia and Arkansas, WalletHub found. Rounding out the top 10 were Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, Mississippi and Alabama.

7 COSTLY MISTAKES TO AVOID AT THE PUMP RIGHT NOW AS GAS PRICES SURGE NATIONWIDE

The results may come as a surprise to travelers who might expect New York or Illinois to top the list. Instead, both states ranked lower, with New York at No. 18 and Illinois at No. 30.

Experts say the findings indicate that stress isn’t just tied to fast-paced city life but is often linked to broader economic and health challenges.

“Where we live can shape how much stress we experience,” Cassandra D. Chaney, a professor at LSU who studies family stress, said in a WalletHub news release.

“These realities remind us that stress is not simply an individual problem,” she added. “Broader social and economic environments play a powerful role in shaping daily stressors.”

In Louisiana, factors such as high poverty rates, limited access to health care and mental health services and job insecurity contribute to elevated stress levels, Chaney noted.

About 16% of residents skipped medical care due to cost, and the state ranks among the worst for poor mental health and depression while also having relatively few psychologists per capita, according to the report. It also recorded the eighth-highest average unemployment rate last year and the lowest job security of any state.

Kentucky, meanwhile, faces significant financial strain, with one of the highest bankruptcy rates and among the lowest median credit scores in the country.

“New Mexico … faces high crime rates, financial hardship and significant family instability,” Chaney added. “Nevada experiences high unemployment and bankruptcy rates, contributing to financial stress among residents.”

For travelers to popular destinations such as Nevada (No. 6) and California (No. 12), the data suggests daily life may differ from the experience visitors see.

South Dakota ranked as the least stressed state, followed by Utah, Minnesota, New Hampshire and Vermont, according to the report. These states tend to perform better in areas such as economic stability, health care access and work-life balance.

They also report higher rates of adequate sleep, an often overlooked factor tied to lower stress levels, according to the report.

Chip Lupo, an analyst at WalletHub, added in a statement, “There are plenty of small ways to manage stress, from staying active and pursuing hobbies to taking time off work and seeking help from a mental health professional.”

Pricy airfare, airport chaos test travelers’ willingness to fly this year

0

TOKYO/NEW YORK — Genevieve Price considers herself a great flight hacker.

The 35-year-old naturopathic doctor based in San Diego usually buys basic economy tickets when she visits her family in New Jersey and then uses her Alaska Airlines frequent flier status to pick a seat, something that’s usually not allowed for those no-frills fares.

“I like to travel a lot,” Price told CNBC at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, where she was returning from Rome.

But Price said she has her limits, and is planning to cap the spending she does on future flights, such as no more than $900 to Rome, where her partner is from.

Consumers’ willingness to fly is being put to the test this spring as soaring fuel prices are leading to higher airfares. Cathay Pacific, SAS, Finnair and others are among the carriers that have already raised fares.

Travelers also have to contend with hourslong airport security lines in the U.S. because of the second government shutdown in half a year that’s hitting the Transportation Security Administration, leaving many frustrated.

Fuel and fares

Fuel at major U.S. airports was going for $3.98 on Wednesday, up nearly 60% since before the U.S. and Israel attacked Iran on Feb. 28.

The conflict has meant crisis for the aviation industry, particularly in the Middle East, where airspace closures have forced carriers to cancel flights and take longer and costlier routes.

Airlines will brief investors starting early next month on the longer-term impacts, but they immediately started raising airfare or increasing fuel surcharges on tickets to help cover the rising costs.

United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby told reporters at a company event in Los Angeles this week that airfare could go up 20% this year. Customers appear willing to keep booking even though carriers are passing those high fuel costs along to travelers, he added.

Other airlines have also said demand has held up.

Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian told a JPMorgan industry conference earlier this month that demand has remained strong in recent weeks and that the airline is “well-positioned” to recapture the spike in fuel from its own sales.

U.S. airlines have seen solid demand for years. International travel has been a strong point, particularly for high-end leisure travel, which has brought so many visitors that governments from Japan to Spain have taken steps to reduce overtourism, while locals have protested.

But airline executives said they will prune flights if demand falls.

“We’re certainly going to be nimble in terms of capacity to make sure that supply and demand stay in balance,” American Airlines CEO Robert Isom said at the JPMorgan conference.

United, for its part, is preparing for fuel prices to remain elevated through next year and is cutting about 3 percentage points off of its capacity in off-peak travel times, like midweek and redeye flights, Kirby told employees this month.

Fares up

Some of the higher fares are already here.

Fares for flights across the Atlantic from the U.S. were going for $1,059, with three weeks advanced purchase, up 26.5% from the prior week, according to a Deutche Bank note on Monday.

Domestic routes, including transcontinental flights and flights to and from Hawaii, were also up, the report said.

Mary Jean Erschen-Cooke, a nurse from Cuba City, Wisconsin, who was setting out earlier this month from Tokyo on a 10-day trip through Japan with her husband, Paul, said she has a host of domestic U.S. family trips this year.

“We haven’t booked our flights, but we should,” she said, adding that she and her husband would consider driving for one of them. She noted that gasoline prices are also up, which will affect driving.

Security snarls

Leslie Josephs | CNBC

Along with higher airfare, travelers are facing challenges at airports this spring.

TSA officers have been working without regular pay since Feb. 14 because of an impasse in Congress over funding for the Department of Homeland Security. Nearly 500 TSA officers have quit, according to DHS and elevated call-outs have left airports short-staffed.

That’s led to long security lines at major airports around the U.S., including in Houston, New York, and Atlanta. Wait times have exceeded three hours in some locations — longer than some of the flights those airports offered — as lines have snaked through terminals and outside of airports.

Elizabeth Leddy, a 38-year-old classical pianist based in New York, said she flies several times a year. The long security lines, which were running nearly 90 minutes at LaGuardia Airport for TSA PreCheck flyers on Friday, could be a deterrent for her doing that in the future.

Leddy said that if the security line was three to four hours long, “I feel like I could just drive.”

DHS has blamed Democrats for the closure, which has become the longest partial shutdown in U.S. history. As of Friday afternoon, the Senate had passed a potential deal to end the shutdown, thought its fate was unclear.

President Donald Trump separately said he would sign an order to get the more than 50,000 TSA officers paid. TSA officers will start getting paychecks as early as Monday, DHS said Friday.

The Trump administration this week sent Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers to several U.S. airports, though DHS hasn’t specified what their duties are. ICE officers, who also sit under the DHS umbrella, are still getting paid during the partial shutdown.

Trump deploys ICE agents to airports as DHS shutdown continues

ICE officers were seen at New York’s LaGuardia Airport on Friday morning watching security lines.

“Even if this manages to slightly reduce wait times (we’re still reading about terrible wait times, so we’re far from big improvement), ICE presence could cause some individuals to fear traveling and upset TSA workers not getting paid,” Bernstein said in a note on Thursday. “Seems possible passenger throughput softens over the coming days and TSA screening YoY growth for this week turns slightly negative.”

Centred around the theme of Discovery, the event featured a panel discussion, interactive workshops,  and networking sessions, exploring how creative expression and youth perspectives are reshaping the relationship between luxury and cultural identity.

A highlight of the programme was the panel discussion, “Reinventing Luxury: Youth Imagination, Creative Worlds, and the Future of Design,” featuring Acclaimed Hong Kong Artist Michael Lau, Fashion Stylist and Consultant Justine Lee, and Actress and Artist Lauren Tsai. The conversation explored the shift from niche collectible culture to global luxury signifiers, examining the intersection of street culture, visual language and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Moving beyond traditional frameworks, the discussion considered how today’s creators are reshaping cultural identity and aesthetic values, and crafting more immersive, creator-driven narratives that are redefining the future of luxury and fashion.

Beyond the panel, three immersive workshops translated the concept of Discovery into participatory creative experiences, led by practitioners across culture, art and spatial design. Independent Art Consultant and Auctioneer Elaine C. Kwok explored cultural fusion and luxury heritage, encouraging participants to reflect on how brands balance heritage and innovation within a global context; Art Critic, Curator and Writer Dr. Shen Qilan, together with Installation Artist jujuwang, examined the intersection of art and innovation, inspiring new perspectives on cross-disciplinary collaboration and creative boundaries; Vincent Lim and Elaine Lu, Co-founders of Lim + Lu Studio, shared insights into immersive spaces and brand storytelling, guiding participants to explore how spatial design can shape emotionally resonant narrative environments and deepen an understanding of experience-driven creative expression.

Meanwhile, a matcha experience bar presented by Silk was set up at the venue, offering guests a relaxed setting for interaction and sensory engagement, further enriching the event’s immersive atmosphere.

Michael Ward, Managing Director at Harrods, said: “It is a true pleasure to bring the Harrods Hive to Hong Kong for the first time. Witnessing the remarkable growth of this platform over the past few years has been incredibly rewarding, and bringing it to such a vibrant, creative hub is a natural next step. This launch marks a significant milestone as we continue The Hive’s global journey, with more international destinations planned for later this year.”

As part of the welcome speech, Sarah Myler, Chief Brand and Reputation Officer at Harrods, said: I am so delighted to see Harrods Hive arrive in Hong during this significant creative moment in the city – Art Basel.  The Harrods Hive has journeyed around the world, from Dubai to Shanghai, Riyadh to Beijing. While our host cities change, our core purpose remains the same: to bring people together to listen, to learn, and to exchange ideas.  This year, the theme for The Hive is Discovery. Harrods is a brand that awakens a sense of discovery. A place where you’re just as likely to stumble upon the future of fashion as you are to rediscover the romance of a timeless craft. At Harrods Hive, under this spirit of discovery, we explore the intersections of art, fashion, and design-moving from collectible culture, to cutting edge digital innovation, as well as trend-making collaborations. As part of Harrods Hive, we offer a bespoke programme for our student attendees, to access one-to-one mentoring from senior industry leaders, to continue their journey of discovery with Harrods.”

As a key milestone in its global journey, The Hive Hong Kong created an inspiring platform for both local and international creative communities, introducing new context and momentum to The Harrods Hive’s continued development. Captain hauls in nearly 500-pound sea giant after grueling battle, feeds most of town

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

A Florida fisherman changed his luck recently in a big way.

Captain Jose Rodriguez Jr. of Cudjoe Key, Florida, takes clients out four to five times a week on a Florida Keys fishing charter to reel in trophy fish.

But he’d never come close to catching a monster 500-pound swordfish.

On Feb. 18, Rodriguez, along with a Pennsylvania family, landed a giant 480-pound swordfish, one of the largest of its kind caught in the Keys in recent years.

OLDER TRAVELERS WHO SKIP KEY STEP BEFORE POPULAR VACATION ACTIVITY COULD BE RISKING THEIR HEALTH

“It was definitely a fight and a struggle,” Rodriguez, who helps run the family business, Above & Below Fishing Adventures, told Fox News Digital in an interview.

“We fought the fish for five hours, and it took us at least another half hour to control the fish on the side of the boat before we could pull it over the side,” he said.

The Florida Keys are known for drawing large species like swordfish, but landing one of this size requires specialized deep-sea techniques and is considered rare.

“Everyone’s in search of a nickel, which is 500 pounds, but it rarely happens in the Keys,” said Rodriguez, 25.

When he started the fishing trip, it seemed like a “normal” day, he said. A Pennsylvania couple had chartered the boat to celebrate their son’s high school graduation.

As Rodriguez first spotted the swordfish, he knew it was large, but he wasn’t sure how massive it would be.

“Not everyone’s prepared to catch a 500-pound fish.”

“Then my mate and I got a really good eye on it, and we basically sealed the deal,” he said.

At first, the Pennsylvania family didn’t realize the importance of what was happening, he said. But the two children aboard were big supporters.

Once the swordfish was caught, there was plenty of work to be done. For starters, there was no simple way to store a fish that huge.

Then he and his mate sprayed it with saltwater to bring its core temperature down.
