Fresh off Jasmine Garner claiming a record fourth AFLW Coaches Association champion player of the year, a ninth All-Australian blazer awaits the North Melbourne superstar.
Kangaroos captain Garner polled 102 votes to claim the coaches’ award ahead of Gold Coast gun Charlie Rowbottom (95), Geelong dynamo Georgie Prespakis (93) and teammate and 2025 winner Ash Riddell (78).
The brilliant midfielder polled in every game, including a perfect 10 votes in North’s final-round win over Richmond, to add this year’s awards to her 2020, 2022 and 2023 titles.

Later on Thursday afternoon, Garner was one of five Kangaroos named in the 45-player squad.
Garner averaged 31.1 disposals, 5.3 clearances, kicked 10 goals and looms as a likely All-Australian captain when the squad is whittled down to 21 and announced at the W Awards on November 23.
Incredibly, Garner, who has been consistently recognised by both the coaches and her fellow players as the best in the AFLW, has never polled as well in the league best and fairest.
Geelong, who finished second to North on percentage, had a competition-leading six inclusions headlined by explosive midfielder Prespakis.
Her sister Maddy Prespakis was also included after a stellar season at Essendon.
Third-placed Melbourne also had five players selected, including No.13 draft pick Jordyn Allen, but captain Kate Hore was not among them.
Gold Coast had five selections, headlined by No.7 draft pick Ava Usher (No.7).
Richmond’s No.1 draft pick Olivia Wolmarans also made the squad as one of 20 players seeking their first blazer.
The Brisbane Lions were the only team without a player selected, while Adelaide only had Chelsea Biddell named.
Star midfielder and 2024 league best and fairest Ebony Marinoff was a surprise omission, missing out for the first time.
