Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban ended their marriage after 19 years together.

The Australian actress filed for divorce in Nashville, Tennessee, on September 30, with the date of separation listed as the same day.

The reason for the break-up was cited as irreconcilable differences, reports said at the time.

Kidman, 58, and Urban, 57, were married in 2006.

The couple have two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, with Kidman reportedly requesting primary custody.

“They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”

The separation is believed to have begun at the start of the year.

Airlines cancel more than 1,500 flights ahead of winter storm. Here’s what to know

Airlines canceled more than 1,500 U.S. flights on Friday ahead of a major winter storm that will put carriers to the test during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.

A winter storm warning is in effect starting Friday afternoon in New York City, New Jersey and Long Island, with snowfall totals potentially reaching 9 inches, much of it falling Friday night, the National Weather Service said.

Over 370 flights, or more than a quarter of the day’s schedule, were canceled as of 5 p.m. ET Friday to and from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, according to flight-tracking site FlightAware. More than 240 were also scrubbed at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, and more than 140 were canceled at Philadelphia International Airport.

Airlines have already canceled a fifth of the departures, or 125 flights from Kennedy Airport on Saturday and 69 flights or 10% of flights scheduled to depart Newark and 20%, or 80 flights from LaGuardia Airport in New York.

American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, Southwest Airlines, JetBlue Airways and other carriers waived change fees for restrictive basic economy tickets and said they won’t charge a difference in fare for any other customers flying in and out of a host of airports in the Northeast U.S.

Customers must travel by the end of the year if they change their flights, the airlines said. Flying as early as possible is likely the best bet with few seats available during the busy Christmas week.

Airlines for America, the industry lobbying group, expects carriers to fly a record 52.6 million people between Dec. 19 and Jan. 5, with this Friday and Sunday among the busiest days.

Airlines generally cancel flights ahead of time for major weather events in the forecast, like blizzards or hurricanes, to avoid planes, connecting travelers and crews from getting stranded and worsening disruptions.

Millions affected as major airline ends advantage miles program on basic economy tickets

0

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

American Airlines has made a change that affects how millions of travelers earn rewards on its cheapest tickets — and now the airline is facing some backlash for it.

Under the updated policy, passengers who purchase basic economy fares will no longer earn AAdvantage miles or loyalty points toward elite status.

The change applies to tickets booked on or after Dec. 17, according to the airline.

American Airlines said the change is part of an effort to remain competitive.

MAJOR AIRLINE HOLDING FLIGHTS TO ACCOMMODATE FLYERS WITH CONNECTIONS

“We routinely evaluate our fare products to remain competitive in the marketplace,” the airline said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

“Basic Economy customers will continue to receive one free personal item and one free carry-on bag, free snacks, soft drinks and in-flight entertainment,” the airline also said.

Previously, AAdvantage members earned miles and points based on the price of their ticket, even when flying on the airline’s lowest fare class.

Under the updated policy, those rewards will now be reserved for main cabin fares and higher.

FLYERS WARN AIR TRAVEL IS BECOMING UNBEARABLE AS PASSENGER SEATS KEEP SHRINKING

Reaction to the change has been mixed on online forums such as Reddit, where users debated whether basic economy travelers should expect to earn loyalty rewards at all.

Some commenters argued that most passengers who book the lowest-priced fares are primarily motivated by cost, not by loyalty perks.

The announcement has drawn mixed reactions online, with some people questioning whether low-cost fares should include loyalty benefits. (iStock)

“I can’t imagine your typical bare-bones basic flyer really cares that much about points or miles,” one user wrote.

The person added that price tends to outweigh loyalty considerations for many travelers.

Others supported the airline’s decision, saying elite status should be tied to higher spending.

“If you’re booking basic economy, you shouldn’t reap the benefits,” another commenter said, noting that American Airlines was among the last major carriers to make such a change.

Some frequent flyers, however, criticized the move — arguing it removes one of the few incentives for budget-conscious business travelers.

Delta Air Lines already has limited rewards on its lowest-priced fares.

A testament to cross-border collaboration and the elite gaming performance of the Infinix GT 30 Pro

HONG KONG, Dec. 26, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — During the2025 PUBG MOBILE SUPERSTARS UNITED event held in Bangkok, the Team Infinix, composed of renowned global content creators, delivered a stunning performance. In a high-stakes showdown, bolstered by the clutch performance of Uzbekistani player Yakudza and the powerful, stable performance of the Infinix GT 30 Pro, the team successfully secured the prestigious “Chicken Dinner Victory Squad” honor. This cross-cultural team not only showcased the power of international collaboration but also highlighted Infinix GT Series’ dedication to “Enjoyment Technology” that empowers players to achieve their esports dreams.

Breaks Barriers: GT 30 Pro Powers International Team to “Chicken Dinner” Success

The Team Infinix members included Captain Salim Al Badi from Saudi Arabia, Sikandar Nawaz from Pakistan, MODOX from Morocco, and Yakudza from Uzbekistan. This international alliance came together through their shared passion to challenge the global stage.

It is worth noting that Sikandar Nawaz and MODOX were ordinary PUBG MOBILE players before the competition, with no professional-level gaming experience, making their presence on the PMGC stage a challenge in itself. It was the mutual trust within the team, combined with the extreme experience provided by the Infinix GT 30 Pro, that allowed them to create a miracle in the top-tier competition.

Infinix Team preparing for the match

At a critical moment during the match, the Team Infinix faced its most heart-stopping challenge: Yakudza and his teammate were ambushed by three enemies while driving. Though his teammate was quickly eliminated, Yakudza refused to give up. He was left alone on the battlefield, facing the impossible odds of one against three.

With composure and mastery over the GT 30 Pro, Yakudza pulled off an astonishing counter-attack. He engaged the three enemies in a fierce guerrilla fight, utilizing every piece of cover and the phone’s millisecond-level response speed to execute precise movements and shots. Ultimately, Yakudza successfully eliminated all his opponents, single-handedly reversing a sure defeat and securing the vital “Chicken Dinner” opportunity for the team.

The team was ecstatic and immensely surprised by Yakudza’s heroic performance and the reliability of the GT 30 Pro. The moment the Team Infinix name flashed on the screen symbolized not just a victory empowered by technology, but the profound enhancement of cross-border camaraderie in competitive sports.

GT 30 Pro, The Ultimate Aid: Yakudza’s Clutch Play Changes the Tide

Yakudza shared his deep impressions of the Infinix GT 30 Pro’s performance after the match. As a veteran user of the GT 30 Pro, he declared that the device’s extreme fluidity and stable, non-dropping frame rates were his secret weapon for the spectacular comeback.

“In those high-intensity final circles, if your phone overheats or lags, you’re finished. But my GT 30 Pro was like a reliable comrade,” Yakudza expressed excitedly. “Coupled with its cooling system, it truly maintained a steady frame rate throughout, allowing me to focus entirely on tactical execution instead of worrying about my equipment failing me.”

The GT 30 Pro’s ability to stay cool under pressure stems from Infinix’s professional esports hardware integration. It is powered by the high-performance MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chip, providing surging power. Even more critical is the comprehensive “Cooling System” created by Infinix: the 3D Vapour Cloud Chamber serves as its internal core, complemented externally by the innovative MagCharge Cooler and a compatible MagCase. Yakudza noted that upon attaching the magnetic fan, cooling efficiency is enhanced, and the exclusive Draco Mode automatically activates, ensuring high-efficiency cooling even during wireless charging.

Thanks to this comprehensive cooling system, the Dimensity 8350 Ultimate, and the combination of 512GB ROM and 12GB of RAM (expandable to 24GB), the Infinix GT 30 Pro is among the first smartphones in its price segment capable of maintaining a stable 120FPS(frames per second) throughout the day, earning it official endorsement for global PUBG MOBILE tournaments.

It was these technological advantages that allowed Yakudza to remain calm, execute with precision, and ultimately seize victory in the nick of time.

Enjoyment Beyond Expectations: The GT Series’ Commitment to Esports Future

This victory in a global top-tier esports event signifies a concrete step forward in Infinix’s strategic plan for the esports sector. Following the match, Captain Salim, a seasoned PUBG MOBILE player and a professional tech reviewer, shared his outlook on Infinix’s future technological direction, emphasizing hardware upgrades and AI integration: “In terms of hardware, a better processor combined with larger RAM will further enhance the esports experience… I am very much looking forward to Infinix integrating AI technology more deeply into the mobile experience.”

Complementing Salim’s technical foresight is the firsthand experience of a living legend in the scene: Bune Top. Known as “The Mighty Top,” he stands as the only player in the history of PUBG MOBILE esports to win two FMVP awards in Global Championships (PMGC 2022 with STE and PMGC 2025 with APG). Having reached the pinnacle of global competition using the GT series, Bune Top highlighted the synergy between aesthetics and performance, stating: “I really like the design of the Infinix.” When asked if he would suggest the GT30 Pro to the community, the two-time FMVP was definitive: “I would certainly recommend it to others,” endorsing the device for both casual and competitive players.

Infinix is actively responding to these demands, continually pushing the boundaries of performance. The GT Series is committed to becoming the innovation platform for the future of mobile esports. Infinix will work closely with MediaTek to optimize the chipset and accelerate the development of advanced cooling technologies, ensuring unwavering frame rate stability during extended play, and significantly improving battery endurance. This commitment affirms the GT Series’ role as a co-creator in the future of mobile esports, ensuring that technology and talent advance together.

Infinix remains dedicated to providing global young users with an exceptional digital life experience, upholding the brand manifesto of “Enjoyment Beyond Expectations.” Infinix believes that the power of technology can break barriers and connect the world, aspiring to be the bridge for global players to gather due to passion and succeed because of technology.

Waymo pauses robotaxis in SF again due to flash flood warnings on Christmas Day

David Paul Morris | Bloomberg | Getty Images

Waymo temporarily paused its robotaxi service in the San Francisco Bay Area on Thursday, ahead of expected storms in the area, according to a customer notification in the company’s driverless ride-hailing app.

“Service temporarily paused due to National Weather Service flash flood warning,” the notification read.

Earlier this week the Alphabet-owned company said it will update its fleet so its robotaxi service is better able to perform during power outages.

On Dec. 20, Waymo paused service during a blackout in San Francisco that left tens of thousands of people in the area without power and caused some of its autonomous vehicles to halt in mid-traffic, contributing to or causing gridlock.

The National Weather Service extended a flood watch for the entire San Francisco Bay Area through Friday 10 p.m. local time.

Waymo didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment, or say whether regulators required its service pause on Thursday given the flash flood warnings.

The California Public Utilities Commission — which regulates driverless ride-hailing services in the state — did not immediately respond to requests for information during the Christmas holiday on Thursday.

Waymo currently operates a commercial, driverless service in five U.S. markets, up from three at the end of 2024. Waymo’s robotaxi service has been operating in Austin, the San Francisco Bay Area, Phoenix, Atlanta and Los Angeles this year. The company intends to significantly expand its service area across and beyond the U.S. in 2026, CNBC previously reported.

Waymo is facing increased public scrutiny and safety concerns as it attempts to expand its robotaxi service.

The former CEO of San Francisco’s Municipal Transit Authority, Jeffrey Tumlin, told CNBC that regulators and robotaxi companies can take valuable lessons away from the chaos that arose with Waymo vehicles during the PG&E power outages last week.

“I think we need to be asking ‘what is a reasonable number of [autonomous vehicles] to have on city streets, by time of day, by geography and weather?'” Tumlin said. He also suggested regulators may want to set up a staged system that will allow autonomous vehicle companies to rapidly scale their operations, provided they meet specific tests.

One of those tests, he said, would be how quickly a company can get their autonomous vehicles safely out of the way of traffic if they encounter something that is confusing like a four-way intersection with no functioning traffic lights.

Cities and regulators should also seek more data from robotaxi companies about the planned or actual performance of their vehicles during expected emergencies such as blackouts, floods or earthquakes, Tumlin said.

The world’s largest nativity scene is welcoming visitors back this year in Alicante, Spain, where the towering display has once again taken over Town Hall Square in the city center.

First built in 2020, the oversized figures earned a Guinness World Records (GWR) for being the tallest nativity set in the world.

The Giant Nativity Scene, as it is known, has become a must-see holiday attraction for locals and tourists alike.

BIRTHPLACE OF JESUS TO RESUME CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS AFTER WAR FORCED A TWO-YEAR PAUSE

The massive scene features the Holy Family — Jesus, Mary and Joseph — along with the three wise men.

Baby Jesus, shown lying in his manger, measures 10 feet, 10.7 inches high and 10 feet, 10.3 inches wide, while stretching more than 13 feet in length, according to GWR.

Located in the center of Bethlehem, Manger Square is named for the manger in which Jesus was laid after his birth.

Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, who has served as the Latin patriarch of Jerusalem since 2020, kicked off the celebration during a traditional procession from Jerusalem to Bethlehem, calling for “a Christmas full of light,” as The Associated Press reported.

Tuya Smart Launches “Hey Tuya:” A Super AI Life Assistant Bringing Physical AI to Everyday Life

  • Is the real-life J.A.R.V.I.S AI assistant from Marvel’s Iron Man movies almost here?

HANGZHOU, China, Dec. 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Tuya Smart (NYSE: TUYA; HKEX: 2391), a global AI cloud platform service provider, today announced the launch of Hey Tuya, a next-generation Super AI Life Assistant designed to seamlessly integrate artificial intelligence into daily life. Hey Tuya marks a major milestone in the evolution of AI agents and physical AI. Built on a multi-agent collaborative architecture, it will transform how AI moves beyond screens to deliver proactive, intelligent assistance across home, office, and more scenarios in daily life.

Multi-Device Collaboration: Making AI Ubiquitous

Much like J.A.R.V.I.S., Tony Stark’s iconic AI assistant in the Iron Man movies, Hey Tuya is evolving into more than a virtual assistant answering simple questions. It is designed to become an AI life assistant capable of sensing environments, learning user habits, and coordinating with physical devices. Unlike traditional AI assistants confined to single devices, Hey Tuya is engineered to break beyond the screen, empowering users to summon their AI assistant from anywhere, whether through the Tuya App, smart speakers, control hubs, or even AI toys and wearables. It will facilitate multi-device collaboration and orchestrate smart devices and equipment, delivering a connected and intelligent experience throughout everyday life.

Hey Tuya will feature short-term and long-term memory, designed to learn and adapt to users’ routines, environmental preferences, and habits. Over time, it will evolve beyond reactive commands to anticipate needs and offer proactive recommendations. As it learns your habits, Hey Tuya will possibly suggest turning on the air conditioner 30 minutes before you arrive home, preheating the water heater and opening bedroom curtains ahead of your 7 a.m. wake-up, or dimming lights and activating a humidifier as you wind down for sleep. This continuous learning process will make interactions feel more intuitive, seamless, and efficient.

Full-Scenario Coverage: From Home to Office and Beyond

Hey Tuya’s capabilities are designed to span diverse life scenarios, taking on different roles:

  • Home Security Guardian: Will provide round-the-clock security, with image recognition and retrieval, converting results into easy-to-understand voice or text alerts for clear safety status.
  • Energy-Saving Expert: Will monitor and analyze energy consumption in real time, proactively suggesting strategies like turning off idle devices, shutting off appliances during weekend trips, or adjusting AC temperatures according to weather and seasonal changes, making it easy to save energy with minimal effort.
  • Health Coach: Will focus on physical and mental well-being, support calorie recognition, track sleep and exercise data, and generate personalized health reports.
  • Efficient Work Assistant: Will offer meeting minutes generation, real-time multilingual translation, content summarization, and mind mapping to boost productivity.
  • Personal Life Secretary: Will manage daily tasks such as reminders, holiday alerts, pet and plant care, and family health monitoring for an organized life.

Powered by Tuya’s Proprietary PAE Technology

Hey Tuya’s ubiquitous AI experience is built on Tuya’s proprietary PAE (Physical AI Engine), which deploys the AI-Device Real-Time Network (AD-RTN) edge acceleration network globally. With the AD-RTN as a foundation, Tuya Real-Time Communication (T-RTC) provides a reliable, low-latency, resilient, and global real-time communication system for AI devices.

Tuya has further developed engines for natural language multimodal interaction (Conversational AI Engine), visual understanding (Vision AI Engine), and IoT device communication and control (IoT Intelligence Engine). Leveraging OmniMem long-term memory technology, PAE enables continuous learning across multimodal interactions and device behaviors, allowing the AI to truly understand user preferences and spatial habits.

Through its Adaptive Expert System (AES) and Dynamic Orchestration Agent (DOA), PAE deeply integrates AI cognition and decision-making with real-world smart devices, forming a complete loop from perception to execution—creating intelligent spaces that grow and self-optimize.

Hey Tuya will be available to individual consumers and open to global brands and developers, who will be able to integrate Hey Tuya into their AI hardware or customize it further. Tuya’s open DNA will accelerate the evolution and adoption of Physical AI worldwide, fostering an open, symbiotic, and vibrant AIoT ecosystem.

Currently, developers have created over 12,000 AI Agents on Tuya’s platform, with 155 million daily AI interactions globally across various scenarios. In the future, Hey Tuya will integrate user feedback and best practices to further enhance the experience.
