Small fashion detail in Kendall Jenner’s viral mountain home tour has shoppers racing

0

When Kendall Jenner, 30, became the latest celebrity to invite Architectural Digest into her “mountain home” as part of the publication’s ‘Open Door’ series, it didn’t take people (myself included) long to start lusting over the thoughtful and unique details throughout the cosy ‘grandma chic’ home.

The fabrics! The patterns! The textures!

As someone who loves anything with a bit of personality, I found myself head-first obsessed.

Know the news with the 7NEWS app: Download today Arrow

But there is one small detail in the viral series (now viewed well over a million times) that has seen shoppers rush out in their droves to snap up a piece of the Kendall Jenner grandma chic on a shoestring budget — and it’s not perhaps what you might expect.

The detail in question? Kendall Jenner’s boots.

The specific boots Kendall wears in the clip are from the iconic British heritage brand Hunter, and the 30-year-old has opted for a pair in Military Red.

Sold at David Jones, and currently reduced from $240 to just $180, the boots have been flying off the shelves since the video aired.

Perfect for wet weather conditions, the Hunter women’s Wellington Boot has been at the heart of the Hunter Original brand since its introduction in 1956.

Formed of natural rubber, each pair is made from 28 hand-cut parts and assembled over three days on an aluminium last bespoke to Hunter, before being vulcanised for superior protection.

Featuring the Hunter Original tread pattern, and a comfortable polyester lining, the classic matte red waterproof boot is a rainy-day necessity.

The brand recommend you pair all Hunter boots with a sock in order to protect the wearer’s skin from contact with rubber.

In the clip, Kendall Jenner wears her Hunters over a pair of white Levi’s jeans and a vintage J.Crew sweater, before you later spot other Hunter boots in and around her stunning home.

You can also invest in the other shades, like Olive Green and Black on the David Jones website, as well as matte and gloss options and shorter and higher styles.

The boots themselves come with rave reviews, and have an impressive five-star rating online.

“Fantastic boots… love the colour and design. Super comfy. The quality is 10/10,” writes one happy shopper.

“Fantastic boots! Purchased to replace my 15 year old Hunters which had worn out as I use these boots for farm work,” another adds.

More than 2,000 shoppers have left rave ratings.

Southwest CEO says airline ‘actively pursuing’ network of airport lounges

A Southwest Airlines plane takes off from Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport in Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S., November 7, 2025.

Tim Evans | Reuters

Southwest Airlines is “actively pursuing” the possibility of opening a network of airport lounges, CEO Bob Jordan told CNBC on Wednesday, as the airline industry continues to fight over premium travelers.

“I think lounges would be a huge, next benefit for our customers,” Jordan said in an interview. “And you [would] have a lounge network that allows you to offer that premium credit card that provides lounge access.”

Southwest is discussing airport leases and lounge possibilities, along with its credit card partner, Chase. The Dallas-based airline in October won approval for an airport lounge at Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport.

Jordan declined to provide a time frame for opening what would likely be a “network” of airport lounges but said “it’s clear our customers want lounges, and we’re pursuing the customer.”

“We’re gonna make sure that we have a network of lounges that meets the needs of the network that we have,” he said.

Large carriers from Delta Air Lines to smaller ones like JetBlue Airways, along with credit card companies like American Express, Capital One and Chase have been building airport lounges, spaces they’ve leaned on to reel in and retain higher-spending consumers.

A J.D. Power report released Wednesday said 82% of people it surveyed said they chose an airline based on lounge access.

Southwest, which carries more customers domestically than any other airline, has drastically changed its business model over the past year to scrap open seating in favor of assigned seats, among other things. It even started charging customers to check bags earlier this year to increase revenue as pressure ramped up from activist Elliott Investment Management.

Southwest this fall started offering free Wi-Fi to members of its loyalty program. Jordan said the company is open to pursuing other onboard providers for in-flight internet, including Space X’s Starlink, the service United Airlines recently started using.

U.S. to mandate checks of some tourists’ social media history from past 5 years

The U.S. is planning to impose social media inspections on some tourists as President Donald Trump continues to ramp up travel restrictions for foreign visitors.

Tourists — including those from Britain, Australia, France, and Japan — will be mandated to provide five years of their social media history as part of their applications to visit the U.S., according to a notice posted by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, or CBP, on Wednesday. The proposal, which has been given a 60 day-notice with requests for comments from the public, is not final and may see some revisions.

Tourists from nations that are included in the U.S.’ Visa Waiver Program can apply to the Electronic System for Travel Authorization, or ESTA, to visit the country for 90 days or less, with a fee of $40. The social media check will now form a “mandatory data element” as part of the ESTA application.

The border force said it will also collect “several high value data fields,” including applicants’ email addresses from the past 10 years, their telephone numbers used in the past five years, and names and details of family members.

Get Morning Squawk directly in your inbox

In addition to social media checks, applicants will also be expected to upload “selfies” which CBP said will improve their screening processes and better identify whether a person is the rightful possessor of the documents being used to secure an ESTA authorization.

The plan is an escalation of a series of measures Trump has implemented in recent months to restrict the movement of foreign travelers, after a man from Afghanistan was accused of shooting two National Guard members near the White House.

The president said at the time that he would tighten immigration rules, including “permanently” pausing all migration from “third-world countries,” as he cast blame on his predecessor, Joe Biden, for admitting “millions.”

Why the U.S. is charging a $250 'visa integrity fee'

More recently, the Trump administration said it is expanding its travel ban to more than 30 countries, which was initially announced in June and previously blocked travel to the U.S. from 12 countries and restricted access from seven others. Some of the countries included are Afghanistan, Somalia, Iran and Haiti.

“If they don’t have a stable government there, if they don’t have a country that can sustain itself and tell us who those individuals are and help us vet them, why should we allow people from that country to come here to the United States?” Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said at the time.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection hasn’t yet responded to a request for comment from CNBC.

Newly released Amelia Earhart documents reveal vivid details of Japan’s role in search for doomed aviator

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

The National Archives recently released the second batch of records related to famed American aviator Amelia Earhart — offering an in-depth look into her mysterious 1937 disappearance.

Over 3,700 pages were published on Nov. 25, with 56 PDF files providing information to the public.

Among the documents was a memo detailing a conversation between then-Secretary of State Cordell Hull and Japanese Ambassador Hiroshi Saito on July 13, 1937.

AMELIA EARHART MYSTERY EXPEDITION HALTED AS RESEARCHERS SEEK ANSWERS ON MISSING PLANE

Though it was public information that Japan participated in the search effort, the memo details the resources shared and highlights the specific cooperation between the two countries.

“Japan had two ships taking part in the search for Amelia Earhart … Their officials at Hawaii and other points had been instructed to keep closely posted on the search in the hope of being of some help,” the document says, in part.

Also included in the document drop is a press transcript between President Franklin D. Roosevelt and a reporter.

Roosevelt shared a dispatch from Honolulu, claiming the search was costing $4 million.

He also said Navy planes were required to log a certain number of hours per year and that the search counted toward it.

“There is no additional cost … whether they were [handling] a search problem of this kind or whether they were doing a maneuver,” said Roosevelt.

First lady Eleanor Roosevelt was also involved in details related to the search for Earhart, helping to request an important radio log for pilot Paul Mantz.

Mrs. Roosevelt penned a letter to then-Secretary of the Treasury Henry Morgenthau Jr., thanking him for helping her obtain copies for Mantz of the Itasca radio logs — the only records of the last contact with Earhart’s flight.

Also included in the file is a newspaper clipping of a statement from Earhart’s mother, Amy Otis Earhart, from July 24, 1949.

Amy Earthart stated that she believed her daughter “died in Japan” on “a United States government mission, probably on verbal orders” — and “not in the Pacific Ocean.”

Many of the conspiracy theories that are floated to this day regarding Earhart’s story cite Japan as playing a role in her disappearance.

“I am equally sure she did not make a forced landing in the sea,” Amy Earhart added.

Many researchers also hypothesize that aviation trailblazer Earhart did not crash her plane at sea, but instead landed and was stranded on Nikumaroro Island, later perishing there.

Purdue University recently delayed an expedition to search for Earhart’s missing plane in Nikumaroro to next year, due to issues with permits, as well as hurricane season concerns.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Dec. 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Ddrops® participated in the Dear Mom x Ddrops® event, hosted by Innity Group, at IPC Shopping Centre, Malaysia, to engage with modern mothers and emphasize the importance of maternal support, emotional well-being, and self-care. Founded to provide simpler and safer daily nutritional support, Ddrops® is committed to the health of mothers, children, and families. At the event, Ddrops® booth offered expert guidance, helping mothers learn about the Ddrops® story and the benefits of high-quality supplements into their daily routine.

Ddrops® focuses on clean, pure, and effective formulations. The products are free from sugar, artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, and common allergens. All Ddrops® products are manufactured in GMP-certified facilities in Canada and carry multiple international and regional certifications, including NPN, NSF, SGS, USDA Organic, NPRA, and HMA HALAL.

During the event, Dr. Kavitha Kalaimany, Chairperson of the Family Reproductive Health Association (FReHA), shared valuable insights on maternal mental health. She stressed that emotional support, adequate rest, and strong family involvement are critical for mothers, especially as responsibilities continue to increase.

Supporting maternal mental health goes beyond emotional care and rest—it also includes proper nutrition.

Scientific studies show that maternal mental health also depends on proper nutrition. Maintaining adequate Vitamin D levels during pregnancy and postpartum supports emotional stability and may reduce the risk of PPD. Ddrops® Vitamin D3, made with pure Vitamin D3 and MCT oil and free from sugar, artificial colors, flavors, and common allergens, is a safe supplement for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, supporting both physical and mental well-being with confidence.

As Canada’s #1 selling infant Vitamin D brand and a trusted pediatrician-recommended choice, Ddrops® remains dedicated to supporting families with a complete range of nutritional solutions. When moms care for themselves and their families stay healthy, it brings joy and balance to home life.

  • Vitamin D3
  • Vitamin A & D3
  • Vitamin D3 + K2
  • Probiotics
  • Calcium supplements
  • Gummies
  • DHA
  • Liquid iron

As Dr. Kavitha said, “When mothers are happy, children are happy.”

Through meaningful events like Dear Mom, Ddrops® supports mothers in staying healthy, being themselves, and enjoying the parenting journey with love and care.
