GIBO.ai Articulates a Vision for AI as the Nervous System of Future Mobility Ecosystems

0

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Jan. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — GIBO Holdings Ltd. (NASDAQ: GIBO), Asia’s leading innovation-driven AI ecosystem, today outlined its long-term vision for GIBO.ai as a foundational intelligence layer designed to connect, coordinate, and evolve future mobility systems across air, ground, and digital infrastructure.

Rather than viewing mobility as a collection of independent vehicles, GIBO envisions a future where intelligence flows continuously across systems—where EV motorbikes, aerial platforms, logistics networks, and urban infrastructure operate as interconnected intelligence nodes within a single computational fabric.

From Vehicles to Intelligence Networks

As mobility platforms become increasingly electrified and connected, the defining challenge of the next decade will not be hardware capability, but how intelligence is shared, learned, and orchestrated across systems.

GIBO.ai is being architected to function as the computational nervous system of future mobility—enabling vehicles and infrastructure to sense their environment, exchange intelligence, and respond collectively to changing conditions. In this model, mobility assets no longer act in isolation; instead, they become participants in a living intelligence network that continuously adapts and improves.

This shift marks a fundamental transition from machine-centric mobility to system-level intelligence, where awareness, prediction, and coordination are embedded at the core of how movement is managed.

Intelligence That Moves Across Domains

The GIBO.ai Calculation Engine is designed to operate horizontally across multiple mobility domains, allowing intelligence developed in one context to inform others. Insights derived from ground mobility can enhance aerial operations; environmental data collected from the air can improve urban flow on the ground.

By enabling this cross-domain intelligence exchange, GIBO.ai lays the groundwork for mobility ecosystems that are not only connected, but contextually aware—capable of understanding how individual movements contribute to broader system behavior.

Over time, this architecture supports increasingly sophisticated coordination between air and ground mobility, logistics flows, and urban infrastructure, without requiring each system to be rebuilt from scratch.

A Foundation for Scalable, Responsible Mobility Intelligence

GIBO’s vision emphasizes that intelligence must scale responsibly. As systems become more autonomous and interconnected, the ability to manage complexity, ensure transparency, and maintain system-wide coherence becomes critical.

By positioning GIBO.ai as a centralized intelligence layer—rather than a collection of isolated features—the Company aims to support long-term scalability while preserving adaptability. This approach allows mobility ecosystems to evolve incrementally, integrating new platforms, sensors, and technologies without disrupting the underlying intelligence architecture.

“Mobility’s future will be defined by how intelligence flows, not how fast vehicles move.”

“Vehicles will continue to evolve, but intelligence architectures are what ultimately define eras,” said Zelt Kueh, CEO of GIBO Holdings Ltd.

“With GIBO.ai, we are focused on building the nervous system of future mobility—one that allows intelligence to move seamlessly across air and ground, enabling systems to learn collectively and operate as a unified whole.”

Amid growing Nordic foreign direct investment in Vietnam, with Denmark among the most active contributors across sectors including food & beverage, renewable energy, logistics and sustainable manufacturing, the expansion of BARTELS reflects a broader trend of Nordic businesses pursuing long-term, value-driven growth in Vietnam.

Founded on a simple yet uncompromising philosophy, “100% real. No cheating,” BARTELS has built a strong reputation in Bangkok, Phuket and Ho Chi Minh City for its naturally fermented bread, artisanal sandwiches and Nordic-inspired café experience. Rooted in Scandinavian baking traditions, the brand is committed to honest ingredients, slow fermentation and craftsmanship.

The new location at Sonatus Building represents BARTELS’s continued expansion in Vietnam, guided by the ambition to bring healthy, high-quality and responsibly made food closer to urban communities. Located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City’s business district, the space is designed as a warm, minimalist setting that supports everyday dining and meaningful professional connections.

This evening also gives us a special moment to celebrate Nordic entrepreneurship in Vietnam.

Representing BARTELS, Nicolai Bartels remarked:

The success of Bartels comes from sweating the details. From our bread to our coffee to the ambience in our cafés.

We believe that quality and consistency beats hype, and that is what has allowed Bartels to grow and become a genuine community hangout across Thailand and now Vietnam.

The evening marked not only the opening of a new BARTELS location, but also a confident start to another year of strong Nordic engagement and cooperation in Vietnam.

The new tourism resources originating from Shiso City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan: A Journey Woven by Forests, Fermentation, and a Heritage Railway Near Kyoto and Osaka

0

HYOGO, Japan, Jan. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Located in the central-western part of Hyogo Prefecture and approximately 90 minutes by car from Kyoto and Osaka, Shiso City (Hyogo Prefecture, Japan) is gaining attention as a new destination for nature-based tourism. Built around its extensive forests, deep-rooted fermentation culture, and a heritage forest railway revived by local residents, the city is emerging as a compelling place for sustainable travel. Tourism Media Service spoke with Shiso City Tourism Association about the new tourism resources originating from Shiso City.

Due in part to the difficulty of reading its name, Shiso City remains relatively little known even within Japan. However, this very sense of being “undiscovered” is increasingly attractive to domestic and international travelers seeking meaningful and sustainable tourism experiences. This release introduces the new tourism resources originating from Shiso City.

A “Forest Kingdom” Where Forests Cover 90% of the Town

Approximately 90 percent of Shiso City’s total land area is covered by forests. For generations, forestry has supported the local economy and daily life. From the Taisho era through the late Showa period (up to the 1960s), forest railways once ran through mountain valleys, playing a vital role in transporting timber.

Today, these forest resources are no longer viewed merely as scenic landscapes but have been reimagined as experiential tourism assets.

A Forest Railway Experience Revived by the Community

In the summer of 2023, a community-based organization restored a tourist forest railway at Forest Station Haga, using a diesel locomotive that had previously been employed in erosion control and forestry-related projects. The railway features approximately 678 meters of track and a station building, and it operates regularly on weekends.

This experience allows visitors to physically engage with the history of Shiso City’s forestry industry—to truly “ride through” the city’s past. The facility also includes hot spring baths and accommodation, while a nearby roadside station offers opportunities to purchase local specialty products.

Forest Therapy in the “Western Oirase Gorge”

Shiso City is also one of the first areas in Hyogo Prefecture to be certified as a Forest Therapy Base. Among its highlights is Akasai Gorge, which is often referred to as the “Western Oirase Gorge” due to its resemblance to the famous Oirase Stream in Aomori Prefecture.

Paths that once served as forest railway routes along the gorge have now been developed into therapy trails. Surrounded by waterfalls, clear streams, and towering trees, the area offers a tranquil and restorative environment. Visitors can also enjoy seasonal scenery throughout the city, including Fukuchi Gorge, praised by renowned Japanese author Seiko Tanabe, and the Onzui area, where remnants of former forest railways remain.

Fermentation Culture as the Birthplace of Japanese Sake

Shiso City also positions itself as a birthplace of Japanese sake. The Harima Fudoki, the oldest surviving regional chronicle in Japan, records that sake was brewed at Niwata Shrine, indicating that fermentation culture has been rooted in the area since ancient times.

In the Yamazaki district, a historic sake brewery street remains active today, with two breweries continuing production. Visitors can experience Japanese sake culture through brewery tours and tastings. One long-established brewery, founded in 1768, also operates a dining venue focused on fermented foods, presenting local cuisine and culture as an integrated experience.

A New Regional Tourism Model Created Through Forests, Fermentation, and Experience

Shiso City has developed model itineraries that combine forest therapy, gorge walks, heritage forest railway rides, and Japanese sake and fermentation-based cuisine. These itineraries offer flexible options ranging from day trips to overnight stays.

In 2025, Shiso City marks the 20th anniversary of its municipal establishment. As it does so, the city is strengthening its outreach to domestic and international travelers as a sustainable tourism destination centered on nature and culture.

Rather than mass tourism, Shiso City offers travel focused on meaning and experience. Quietly yet convincingly, it presents the essential appeal of Japan’s regional landscapes and traditions.

About Shiso City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan

Shiso City is located in the central-western part of Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. Approximately 90 percent of its land area is covered by forests. Historically, the city has developed in close connection with forestry and fermentation culture, and today it promotes sustainable tourism centered on forest therapy, heritage forest railway experiences, and local food culture.

Message from the Mayor

Shozo Fukumoto, Mayor of Shiso City, Hyogo Prefecture

“Shiso City is a ‘Forest Kingdom,’ with forests covering nearly 90 percent of our land area.
We are sharing a form of tourism that connects this rich natural environment with the history of daily life shaped by forestry and fermentation culture, passing these values on to future generations.

Forest therapy, our heritage forest railway, and Japanese sake and fermented cuisine all originate from the unique climate and traditions of Shiso City.”

India’s youth are turning concerts into an economy. The money is following

Hindustan Times / Contributor

Tanvi Shirgaonkar is counting down to Jan. 24, when she will finally get to see the Japanese artist Fujii Kaze, best known for the song “Shinunoga E-Wa,” perform in Mumbai at Lollapalooza India.

The 29-year-old banking professional said the show will be the first of many concerts and live events she plans to “experience” this year. An avid fan of South Korean pop group BTS, Shirgaonkar attends a live event roughly every two months, mostly in Mumbai, and travels overseas at least once a year to see her favorite artists perform.

“Live entertainment offers an experience of collective effervescence and it’s great for social media clout,” the millennial told CNBC.

Shirgaonkar is among a growing tribe of young Indians, whose rising disposable incomes are fueling a boom in the country’s live entertainment industry.

Between 2024 and 2030, India will have the highest increase in working-age population globally, with over 100 million people expected to be added, according to a April 2025 report by Bain & Company.

India’s working-age population, defined as those aged 15 to 59, currently accounts for 64.2% of the total population and is expected to remain near 65% over the next decade, according to government data.

Income per capita is also projected to grow the fastest among the top five emerging markets, including China, Brazil, Mexico, and Russia.

That demographic shift is supporting stronger demand for live entertainment.

Companies, including Eternal, which operates the live events platform District, and popular online ticketing platform BookMyShow, are among those betting on the trend.

India’s live entertainment sector grew by 17% last year, according to a report by BookMyShow. In 2025 alone, India hosted 34,086 live events, spanning concerts, theatre shows and comedy shows.

Several large international tours helped drive the surge. These included Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres tour in Ahmedabad and Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus tour, which concluded in India with shows in New Delhi and Mumbai.

“Seventy percent of the live event attendees are under 35 years of age and 52% are under 30,” said Raghav Anand, partner and leader for digital, media and convergence at EY Parthenon, a consultancy.

Anand said the Coldplay concerts marked a turning point for the sector in India, demonstrating the scale of demand and the country’s ability to host global productions.

“The amplification of the [Coldplay] event won over a huge number of people in the experiences bracket, said Anand.

International artists are increasingly adding multiple Indian cities to their tour schedules, aided by digital platforms that make their work more accessible to fan bases across the country.

Affluence fuels demand

A key driver of the surge in live events is the growing number of affluent households, which are giving consumers more disposable income to spend on experiences, industry experts said.

“Once you are affluent, it is about new experiences”, said Anand.

Naman Pugalia, Chief Business Officer at BookMyShow, described the rise in live events as a “real renaissance,” driven by audiences placing greater value on how they spend their leisure time.

That shift is reflected in growing demand for premium offerings. According to the BookMyShow report, 2025 saw a doubling of footfall for premium live-event experiences, including VIP pits, viewing decks and enhanced hospitality zones.

The shift is not confined to major metropolitan areas. Smaller cities are seeing rapid growth, which Pugalia attributed to the increasingly fluid nature of fandom across the country.

“Fandom is such a powerful force that it knows really no definitions of tiers or metros, non-metro,” he said, noting that demand is no longer limited to traditional cultural hubs.

Live entertainment footfalls rose 213% in Shillong, 188% in Guwahati and 94% in Nashik in 2025, according to BookMyShow.

Spillover effects

India aims to be among the world’s top five live entertainment destinations by 2030, according to a government vision paper released in May last year.

The sector’s rapid growth is spilling into other parts of the economy. Coldplay’s Ahmedabad concerts alone generated 6.41 billion rupees ($70.5 million) in economic value across hospitality, retail, transport and tourism, according to a report by EY in May last year.

To keep pace with demand, organizers and ticketing platforms are investing in larger venues, improved safety measures and more efficient crowd management.

British rock band Coldplay performs at Global Citizen India at MMRDA Ground, BKC on Nov.19, 2016 in Mumbai, India.

Hindustan Times / Contributor

Still, infrastructure remains a constraint. India has fewer than 10 purpose-built concert venues capable of hosting audiences of more than 10,000 in major cities, and almost none in smaller urban centers, according to the government white paper.

“The expectation has gone up”, Anand said, citing the need for smoother entry and exit, better facilities and higher overall production standards.

Coldplay’s tour in India, in particular, marked “a genuine turning point” for India’s live entertainment industry in 2025, Anand said, helping establish Ahmedabad as a viable concert destination.

Looking ahead, he said the industry is approaching an inflection point. “2026 [is going] to be a breakout year,” Anand said, as live entertainment takes a more central role in India’s consumer economy.

Women lead the way as Australia announce bumper team for Winter Olympics

0

Australia will send its strongest ever team to the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics next month, with women making up almost two-thirds of the athletes in a record showing.

Team chef de mission Alisa Camplin will on Friday unveil a team of 53 athletes to compete in Italy — the second largest Australian Winter selection, and 10 more than the team that brought home a peak medal haul of four from Beijing.

With reigning Olympic moguls gold medallist Jakara Anthony the spearhead, there are 33 women and 20 men included for Italy.

Know the news with the 7NEWS app: Download today Arrow

It is easily the most women on an Australian Summer or Winter Games team, with a 62.3 per cent split eclipsing the 55.9 gender breakdown in Paris 2024 and 51.2 per cent of females competing four years ago in China.

With 27 athletes making their Games debut, 15-year-old freeskier Indra Brown is the youngest, while aerials veteran Laura Peel will compete at her third Games aged 36.

Making her maiden appearance at World Cup level this year, Melbourne product Brown was a breakout star, winning three medals, including gold, in her first three events.

“It’s pretty special to be the youngest athlete for Australia at Milano Cortina,” said Brown, who will turn 16 before the Games opening ceremony on February 6 (local time).

“I started dreaming about being an Olympian in 2022 after seeing Jakara Anthony win gold in moguls. It was super inspirational and just gave me a lot of passion and desire to do it as well.

“I’m really excited just to get this experience that not many people are able to experience in their lifetime.”

Fresh off his World Cup triumph in Switzerland, Scotty James will try to complete his medal collection by landing gold when he joins an elite group of four other Australians to compete at five Winter Olympics.

Three alpine skiing spots – two female and one male – are being appealed by athletes who missed selection, as Australians look to compete in 15 disciplines, including ski mountaineering and dual moguls, which are new additions to the Olympic program.

That gives 27-year-old Anthony a double chance to add to her Beijing moguls gold.

“Each Winter Games has been a different experience for me,” said the Victorian, who made her debut in PyeongChang in 2018.

“My first one was going in with no real expectations, and the second one was going in as a gold medal favourite, and these ones will be going in as the defending champion.”

Australian athletes will arrive in Italy in impressive form, with 11 athletes winning 26 medals across seven different disciplines during the current World Cup season.

That includes 13 gold medals, with bobsleigh world No.2 ranked Bree Walker stockpiling five medals.

With 10 genuine medal chances, the 2026 team is on track to top the one gold, two silver and one bronze won in Beijing, with retired skeleton medallist Jackie Narracott the only one of the four medal winners not to return.

Veteran moguls ski star Matt Graham and snowboard cross gun Jarryd Hughes, who both medalled in 2018, remain in the team for a fourth Games.

“Whether you’re talking about aerials, moguls, halfpipe, snowboard cross or bobsleigh, we now have many regular World Cup podium performers, so this is a well-rounded team of fierce competitors on snow and ice,” Camplin said.

“There is such a unique blend of youth and experience in Australia’s 2026 Winter Olympic team. It’s iconic to have Scotty James at his fifth Games; balanced by an exciting pipeline of young talent, including five teenagers.”

MILAN-CORTINA BY THE NUMBERS:

* Team size 53 – 33 women and 20 men competing in 15 disciplines.

* Scotty James will compete in his fifth Olympics, while seven athletes are at their fourth.

* There are five teenagers, all female, on the team, which is up one on Beijing 2022.

* Biathlete debutant Darcie Morton will follow her dad, 2006 Olympian Cameron Morton, becoming the first father-daughter duo to represent Australia at the Winter Olympics.

* Phil Bellingham will become just the second Australian, and first man, to compete in two Winter Olympics sports behind Jenny Lyons (nee Owens).

Mysterious hum rattles American city as residents report sleepless nights and rising fear

0

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

A persistent, low-frequency hum has invaded the city of West Haven, Connecticut, according to many residents, leaving some shaken by an occurrence they’re calling everything from mysterious to excruciating.

For some time, residents of this city on the coast of Long Island Sound have believed the source of the hum to be local industry, and they’re demanding a resolution. After circulating a petition and obtaining over 140 signatures, a group convinced the city council to spend $16,000 to hire a third-party acoustic firm.

“For years, our community has been plagued by a constant or intermittent humming noise and low-frequency vibrations affecting multiple areas of town,” the petition notes. “This disturbing phenomenon occurs at all hours, disrupting our ability to sleep, concentrate and enjoy life to its fullest.

“Many residents have reported increased levels of stress, anxiety and physical discomfort due to this incessant noise and vibration.”

There have been “numerous complaints” made about it over time, it adds, yet “the source of this noise remains unresolved. … We are deeply concerned about the long-term health consequences this persistent noise pollution imposes on us.”

Mental health issues linked to low-frequency hums are common, experts say. But not all residents hear the noise.

John Carrano, West Haven’s commissioner of human resources, told Fox News Digital the sound is at its highest level near his home, yet his own children do not hear the hum.

“My house is the loudest of all the different locations in the area,” he said. “I would test in the morning and test in the evening. If I saw an elevated decibel reading, I would go up to the industrial zone and test the property line.”

In a city of almost 56,000 citizens, the difference of opinion and ideas about the issue is apparently common.

“This is a quality-of-life issue, no doubt,” said Mayor Dorinda Borer, according to NBC Connecticut. “We don’t want people to be impacted. We don’t want [people’s] health to be impacted.”

The acoustic firm hired for the task will use 10 microphones to continuously listen for the hum over the course of seven days.

Government officials need to choose a week with low wind and no precipitation, Carrano said.

“People feel the hum differently,” he continued. “Some don’t even hear it. Others hear it, and they’re not bothered by it. Then there’s another group that finds it very disturbing when they hear it.”

“It’s gotten to the point where it just gets in your chest.”

One person said she felt like she was going “cuckoo” when she heard the sound and her family didn’t, the New Haven Register reported.

“I’ve been hearing this noise for over four years or whatever, and I thought it was just me going a little cuckoo,” resident Rosemary Brooks said at a recent council meeting. “But it’s gotten to the point where it just gets in your chest.”

Bennett Brooks, president of Brooks Acoustics Corporation, a company based in Connecticut and Florida, told Fox News Digital, “It’s a problem that should be rectified. Lower frequencies are much harder to block than the higher frequency of sound.

“It can be very annoying. It’s as if it shakes the dishes and windows in your kitchen.”

Connecticut has many noise ordinances, but there are few “applicable government regulations that address low-frequency noise,” he said.

Similar hums have been reported around the world, according to numerous sources, including in Taos, New Mexico; Auckland, New Zealand; and Windsor, Ontario.

The hums are often, but not always, traced to factories or power plants.

A high-pressure gas pipeline or mechanical device can sometimes be to blame, reports suggest. But some, like the one in Taos, have puzzled researchers for decades.

The mayor of West Haven is reluctant to make a quick decision about what’s going on in Connecticut.

“My pets tend to pace and stare.”

“We have to cross our T’s and dot our I’s before we go to [any specific] company and cite them,” the mayor told the Register.

Kimberly Nunes, who lives in the affected neighborhood and authored the petition, said the sound has taken a toll on everyone in her household, FOX 61 reported.

“It’s affecting my mental health, my sleep, my well-being,” Nunes said. “As well as my children’s. I’ve noticed that my pets tend to pace and stare.”
